Jenny's delivery is what makes it. :) The Sisterhood book... yeah, kinda wish I would have just quit after the 4 original books. Weren't the two movies great, though? Loved those!Tanya @ Girl Plus Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18357204133826428572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8051174949483344057.post-79324863402260727382016-11-29T23:26:25.626-05:002016-11-29T23:26:25.626-05:00I definitely want to read Furiously Happy! I mean, on one hand, I kind of DO like the idea of seeing a series end (especially 10 years later!) but on the other... it kind of sounds awful. I think I will stick with the movies ;) Great reviews! And tbh I didn't really start listening to them until earlier this year. It can never, ever take the place of actually reading a book (imo) but I use it as some entertainment on the commute.Tanya @ Girl Plus Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18357204133826428572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8051174949483344057.post-49923674140485466042016-11-27T16:47:00.588-05:002016-11-27T16:47:00.588-05:00That's so awesome that you had the opportunity...That's so awesome that you had the opportunity to meet Jenny! Jenny Lawson reads it herself and hearing it all in her voice with her inflections was so priceless. :) I rarely ever read memoirs (just not my thing) but this one was definitely worth it.
The Sisterhood ender... sigh. No, I didn't really have the same feelings about them in the first 4 books. I mean, yes and no but so much of it was because of their age. They were young, they were figuring things out, figuring themselves out, navigating new situations, etc. But in the span of a decade they should have matured. Or maybe they did mature and I just didn't like who they grew up to be. I mean, seriously, they were all so very unlikable. I stayed annoyed with them the entire book. I kind of wish I had quit at the first four and not read this one. Ugh.Tanya @ Girl Plus Bookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18357204133826428572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8051174949483344057.post-30344561925949119402016-11-27T16:36:07.901-05:002016-11-27T16:36:07.901-05:00Thanks Aleen. I might prefer it on audiobook this time like you did Tanya.
Also, did you feel like the sisterhood characters were like that in the earlier books too? or did your opinion change of them in this book? because i never thought that they were selfish in the earlier books but I'm going to be really bummed if I read this one and feel that way afterwards.
Great honest reviews! I'm still sad about the conclusion for the sisterhood series though. I read those books as a teen and loved them.
Emily @ www.rabbitholereviews.comAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00923570666680506256noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8051174949483344057.post-64219234580285960312016-11-20T15:48:42.834-05:002016-11-20T15:48:42.834-05:00I love audio books.
