So true. And when it's a minor thing and resolved fairly quickly I'm okay. But it's when the entire plot is based around one misunderstand that I go off the rails. The fact that something so stupid is the basis for an entire book just sends me into fits. Like you said, there are times when without that misunderstanding there is no other plot!
