The Sunday Post #126

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:

Well will you look at this... a Sunday Post on a Sunday. Looks who's all on the ball today? :) As a matter of fact, it's 9:30 Sunday morning and I've done the grocery shopping, had breakfast, and am on my third load of laundry. *high fives myself* What has you feeling accomplished today?

I woke up to a chilly 48 degrees... finally, some weather that actually feels like late October!

How awesome are these shoes?! There are all kinds of bookish patterns, different styles (slip-ons, high tops, etc). I'm *this close* to ordering some.

WHAT I FINISHED IN THE LAST WEEK:

One of my most anticipated books of the year did not disappoint! I loved getting more of Luc's story, loved the humor, loved the action and the twists. Total hit.

This short story that TJR made available on Amazon was a super quick read but still managed to pack an emotional punch - and a twist that surprised me.

WHAT I'M CURRENTLY READING:
Excited to be continuing this series.

WHAT I'M CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
Misbehaved - Charleigh Rose
I'm about three-quarters through this audiobook and it's... okay. The narrators aren't really doing it any favors and I have no connection with the characters. But it's entertaining enough, I suppose.

Not a thing!

How was your week? Any new books? Any news to share?
I'd love to hear about it!

  3. Sarina Bowen is on my must read list before Book Bonanza 2019. Those shoes are adorable. My hubby would laugh at me, but I love the books. I wonder if they have coffee?

    1. I crave good sleep too much to mess with my sleep schedule. I’d be in dire straits if I had to be up late... I’m a total morning person. Hope you’re enjoying that arc!

I’ve become quite the fan of Taylor Jenkins Reid. I’ve read three by her now and enjoyed them all.

    2. Oh I'm behind on answering comments but... I saw yours on my Night of the Comet post. Glad you enjoyed! That movie is SUCH a trip! I just about DIED when I saw Tommy from Valley Girl- I had NOT remembered that! And yes how regina was just like "oh we weren't that serious" lolol.

I also never realized Kelly Maroney was in Fast Times. So I definitely learned some things from this rewatch haha, I'm so glad I did it! It's an 80's classic definitely!

  11. Lol, I'm glad you're enjoying your cold weather. We've been getting down below freezing, and have even had some snow. Luckily we're supposed to be up to 54 today. That will be helpful for the trick-or-treating. I don't plan on going along with them, as I'm too pregnant and can't keep up. But I can man the candy bowl.

    1. So hard to believe it's snowing somewhere when it's still hovering near 80 degrees here. Wow! Hope the weather cooperated for the trick or treaters! It was a nice night for it here and we ended up taking chairs out to the driveway and passed out candy there. :)

  12. I'm looking at those shoes and thinking but I have nothing they'd go with... Then mentally slapping myself because most of my wardrobe is black, green or navy and thus I have plenty they'd go with!
Buy them, Tanya! You can never have too many shoes, books or bookish things. :)
