I just finished listening to Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli and I am completely smitten. I adore Simon and his story and the whole thing was freaking adorable (as Simon would say). So this week's That's What He Said Thursday quote comes from Simon - to the mystery boy he knows only as Blue. ♥
What's the best YA contemporary you've read lately?
That is an awesome quote!
ReplyDeleteThanks Julie!
DeleteThat *is* a great quote!! I've been wanting to read this one - I love the title. :) The best YA contemporary I've read lately is I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson (review posted today). Thanks for giving me a reason to grab Simon, Tanya! <3
ReplyDeleteI absolutely fell in love with Simon. I adored the audio book but I'll be buying a physical copy as well because I know I'll want to reread this one. Looking forward to reading your review of I'll Give You the Sun!
DeleteNo lie, Simon Vs is one of my favorite contemporary books. I think number 1 is To All the Boys I've Loved Before. Great graphic/quote! Wasn't the audiobook done so well?
ReplyDeleteAw, I love hearing that, Amber. I just adored Simon. And you're right, the audio book was done *so well*. The narrator was just perfection! :)
DeleteThis book is still on my radar; hoping I get to it before 2016 is over! I can't wait to read your review of it Tanya! Simon sounds adorable though! And I want to know why everyone is always talking about oreo cookies after reading that book! (I'm thinking of the right book, right?) LOL

I hope you are able to get to it soon, Emily! This one was so sweet and funny and amazing that I just wanted to eat it up. :) I'm going to have to get a physical copy to have because I know I'm going to want to read this one again and again. I just adore Simon. And Blue. And yes... this is the one with the Oreos. Hee hee!
DeleteSuch nice lines, Tanya. I've been hearing such great things about this book! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was so wonderful, Pearl! I highly recommend it!
DeleteGosh, I can't think of any great YAs I've read lately, period. But I love this quote!
ReplyDeleteThat was one of my favorite parts from Simon... him telling that to Blue. Oh my heart! :)
