The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:
- Happy National Doughnut Day! Have a doughnut to celebrate... it'd be rude not to. :)
- Hope everyone set their clocks back. I know I'm in the minority but I always look forward to the end of Daylight Savings Time. I love it when it gets dark earlier.
- I am so going to make these broccoli potato skins. Don't know when yet (maybe as a Thanksgiving appetizer?) but it will happen. Yum!

What's your favorite doughnut?
How was your week? Any new books? Any news to share?
You know I want to hear about it! :)
The Story of Us looks so sweet. As do all the doughnuts! Yum :)
ReplyDeleteI've never read anything by Tara Sivec so I'm looking forward to that one.
DeleteNational Donut Day...I might have to go in search of a donut now! And the broccoli potato skins look very good. Enjoy your books and have a good week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jan! Yesterday's post seemed to be an equal mix of books and food... not a bad thing! :)
DeleteThose potato skins look delish! Make them, and report back. Alas, I do not do donuts, because at my advanced age, they do not love me back. I will have one in spirit, though. The Story of Us looks good. I am reading another Sivac (probably later today), Wish You Were Mine. The Chocolate books are fun and all, but I am liking this side of her.
ReplyDeleteYou've got it. As soon as I make them I will report back with a review. That's the kind of reviewing I will truly enjoy! LOL To tell you the truth, I rarely eat doughnuts, either. I was basically born without a sweet tooth. :) So even mildly sweet things rarely hold any interest for me. I don't even eat pancakes or waffles because I think syrup is too sweet. Ha! I've yet to read anything by Sivec so I'm looking forward to The Story of Us.
DeleteThe brocolly potato skins look yummy. Anyway, your new books look awesome. I hope you enjoy them. Have a wonderful week and happy reading. 😁❤️
ReplyDeleteI'm wishing I had those potato skins right now! :) Thanks Geybie... and I hope you have a great week, too!
DeleteI love doughnuts!!! Those broccoli potato skins look so good. Enjoy your new books and have a great week!
ReplyDeleteDoughnuts, potato skins... I must have been hungry when drafting yesterday's post. LOL
DeleteI wish I could eat donuts! Stupid Celiac's! Ugh. Enjoy your books!
ReplyDeleteAw, no doughnuts? Hopefully you have other favorites that you **can** enjoy! I actually rarely have a doughnut... I find most of them way too sweet and I basically don't have a sweet tooth. I'd much rather have something savory!
DeleteDonuts and cheesy potato skins--now I'm hungry! LOL! Loaded potato skins are my favorite. Happy National Donut Day to you too! And to be a little honest--I had to check the spelling of donuts--why did I want to put doughnuts?? I don't know. Have a great week and happy reading!
ReplyDeleteLOL Same here, Bleu! I love me some potato skins. I actually hardly ever eat doughnuts. I'm not much for sweets. (I think the dictionary uses doughnuts but both spellings are recognized. :) Hope you have a great week!
DeleteOh yum-- I could totally go for a donut right about now! lol I really need to get Damaged Like Us; I hope the second one is good!

You can have the doughnuts, I'll take the potato skins... it's mealtime! LOL
DeleteI'm totally excited for Lovers Like Us!
Mmm....I love doughnuts! And that broccoli potato skins looks delicious! Glad you had a great week!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!
Thanks Ronyell :)
DeleteIt’s doughnut day? I need one (for purely celebration purposes).
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
LOL Only for celebration purposes, huh? Sure, I'll buy that. :)
DeleteNational doughnut day sounds amazing! Why did Dunkin Donuts not give me a free donut? That seems rude. Anyway. I cannot believe you like Standard Time! I didn't think anyone liked it! I find it repulsive because I find mornings in general repulsive haha. And those broccoli potato skins DO look amazing. ::Invites self to Tanya's house::
ReplyDeleteI know, right? Totally giving Dunkin' the side eye right now.
DeleteI know, I know... I'm like the only person ever to prefer standard time. Maybe it's because I'm one of those weird morning people. I'm up and at 'em by 5:30 pretty much every day of the week. I'm so far from being a night owl it's crazy. I'll let you know when the 'tato skins are ready. :)
I need a doughnut now! =P I love Daylight Savings Time. I love when it gets darker earlier (although, the fact that there is less light makes it difficult to take pictures for Instragram).
ReplyDeleteHappy readings! ;)
Tânia @MyLovelySecret
I know! I'm not even a big sweets fan but as soon as I saw it was Doughnut Day I was craving a doughnut. LOL
DeleteOh my word doughnuts!! Now I'm totally craving one (although to be fair, when does one NOT feel like a doughnut? They're amazing). I think my favourites are any of the ones with icing - those are to die for. I'm not a big fan of the cinnamon toping, though. Icing glaze is definitely my fave :)
ReplyDeleteHappy reading! ❤ Hope your week's off to a good start :)
Oh my gosh, Amy, we are so opposite! I only like doughnuts *without* icing. LOL I don't have much of a sweet tooth and icing is just way too sweet for me. You can have all the iced ones... I'll have all the plain cake ones. :)
DeleteMmmm doughnuts... I love the cream filled ones from Krispy Kreme and I also enjoy French crullers. Now, I'm hungry. What with the potato skins too... :D
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week and enjoy your new reads! ~Aleen
Oh my goodness, I haven't had any Krispy Kreme doughnuts in ages. They way they're so soft and warm when they're fresh... nothing like a Krispy Kreme. Yum!
DeleteThose potato skins look soooo good. I might need to make those myself!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy your new books, and have a great week ahead :)
I'd actually rather have the potato skins more than the doughnut. LOL
DeleteThanks Bre! Hope your week is off to a good start, too!
I missed National Donut Day! Well, maybe I'll treat myself to a donut after I go vote today. The donut places are all too far away, but the ones at the grocery store are OK. The potato skins look delicious, too. I haven't done a loaded baked-potato dinner in a long time. I used to love them. Have a great week, and enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteYou should probably have 2 doughnuts to make up for it. LOL
DeleteI love potatoes - pretty much any way at all. Baked, mashed, loaded, scalloped... I think I could live solely on potatoes. :)
haha I'm glad you ar e a well brought lady with good manners and celebrated National Doughnut Day! I loved all those facts about doughnuts! I can't believe there is a $40 Doughnut on Craiglist! I can't believe they list them on craiglist let alone the price LOL! Ok I know I already said this but I'm ready for your review of Haven! I'm kinda obsessed with that cover :)
ReplyDeleteLike who is actually buying the $40 doughnuts? Crazy people!
DeleteThe Haven review is up! Just posted it this afternoon. :)
Oh those cheesy broccoli potato skins look awesome. Love that doughnut graphic too- I like to buy local ones at the farms around this time of year, but I'm totally a Krispy Kreme addict as well.
ReplyDeleteI swear, Sunday's post seemed to be all about food and I've been craving doughnuts ever since! :)
DeleteI think I'm actually with you on Daylight Savings. It was so refreshing to wake up to sunlight instead of darkness. I mean, don't get me wrong, I prefer the longer days of summer, but I'm happy for the change by the time October rolls around.
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
We are a rare breed, Nicole! LOL
DeleteI'm also tempted to make those potato skins, they look great :)
ReplyDeleteI know, they look so delicious! I'm considering making them as an appetizer for Thanksgiving.
