Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic:
Favorite Books I Never Reviewed
This week's topic is actually Books Read In One Sitting but since I don't think I've ever read a book in one sitting, that's not much of a list.
Instead I'm going to share ten books that I loved but have never reviewed.
The reasons are varied but tend to fall into two categories:
1) I loved the book so much, and it made such a lasting impression on me, that I feel there is no way to adequately express my feelings and do it justice.
2) So much time has passed that the initial feelings and impressions have dimmed. I may still want to review it, but it would necessitate a reread.
Have you read any of these books?
Read them again! Because just based on the covers I want to read them haha.

LOL I'll get on that! :)
DeleteI still haven't finished ACOWAR, I put it down after about 240 pages in January and still haven't picked it back up.

I hope you'll love it when you get around to picking it back up.
DeleteThe Long Shot was so good. All the tears when reading that one. Excuse me, I am getting all emotional just thinking about it. *chills* I remember Hoover's book being very emotional (when aren't they?), but it was note that hit me even harder.
ReplyDeleteLong Shot just destroyed me. I still remember DM'ing with you and Amber when I read it.
DeleteI loved Written in Red and I've just downloaded an audio and e-copy of All the Ugly and Wonderful Things. I can't wait because I LOVED The Reckless Oath and I read it off your recommend, so thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm so interested to see what you think of All the Ugly and Wonderful Things. It was certainly a divisive story but so powerful. I read several interviews with the author that shed a lot of light and her thoughts behind the story (and her own experiences). It's one still I still think about.
DeleteSimon vs and ACOWAR are some of my favorites too! I also loved Written in Red, but I still need to pick up the rest of the series.
ReplyDeleteI have such a crazy attachment to The Others series. I think I've listened to the entire series 4 times now.
DeleteGreat list of books!
ReplyDeleteIf you get the chance, here's my TTT post: https://readbakecreate.com/10-books-with-the-word-day/
Thanks Pam!
DeleteI read WAY faster than I review, so I'm always reviewing books months after I've read them. Even in that short period, I often can't remember a thing about the book! LOL. My memory is no beuno.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I'm already way behind on reviews. I'd be in big trouble if I read any faster! LOL
DeleteVerity was such a crazy read! I agree about not usually reviewing books I love, for the same reason!
ReplyDeleteIt's seems crazy but sometimes I love a story too much to talk about it. LOL
DeleteI did read Verity in one sitting but didn't care for that plot twist, not one tiny bit. I also read a lot faster than I'm able to review and I've learnt to accept that I won't ever be able to keep up with both :D Happy reading. ReplyDeleteToo bad Verity didn't work for you. :( I think that was either a love it or hate it ending.
DeleteI read Long Shot, Written in Red and Simon and I think I reviewed them all but I haven't been doing that as much lately. I've been keeping some books just to myself.

Sometimes I just want to skip reviewing and move on to the next book instead.
Delete"Books that I loved but have never reviewed" is always a great topic! I enjoyed reading Before We Were Strangers by Renee Carlino as well. :)
ReplyDeleteHere's my Top Ten Tuesday list!
It's still my favorite by Carlino. :)
DeleteI started a review after reading Simon, but I just couldn't finish it. It was definitely one of those that I didn't feel like I could do it justice. Great idea for a TTT post!
ReplyDeleteSimon is one that I've read and listened to multiple times - and yet still never felt able to review it.
DeleteAll the Ugly and Wonderful Things was so well written, but the story was hard for me. I did enjoy a bunch of others on your list, too.
ReplyDeleteIt was a tough story, and could be considered divisive, but it made a huge impact on me. And it's one I still think about.
DeleteI also find it hard sometimes to review books I really loved. I never feel like what I'm saying really does the book justice or conveys what made it such a special read for me.
ReplyDeleteExactly, Suzanne! Some stories make such an impact, and I have such an emotional connection to them, that I know there's no way I can do them justice.
DeleteI have all of these on my tbr and now I want to know all of your thoughts lol! Do you have a top favorite from this list or like a top 2 favorites? Or is that just a mean question to ask haha!
ReplyDeleteJen @ Star-Crossed Book Blog
Well of course that's a mean question to ask! LOL But for you, I will try. :) I'll pick three: Long Shot, It Ends With Us, and Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda. All three are hardcore favorites. ♥
DeleteI'm sorry *covers face with hands* but thank you so much!!
