HAMILTAG - The One Where I'm Clueless

So. The utterly fabulous Shannon at It Starts at Midnight tagged me to do the Hamilton Book Tag. Let it be said that what I know about Hamilton can fit in the subject line of this post but, like I said, Shannon is AbFab. And just because I don't know jack about Hamilton doesn't mean I'm not going to play. So here we go...

It may not always be a safe world but I was completely hooked on the world in A Court of Thorns and Roses. Fae and magic and the Spring Court and Tamlin and Rhys... I'm all in.

Sure the Lux series gets a lot of love but most of the time all that love is heaped on Daemon. (As Daemon would say, "Naturally. How could it be otherwise?") But with all that Daemon-love, Katy gets overlooked as a great character in her own right. And when necessary could be totally badass all on her own.

Sticking with JLA here. Alex is no shrinking violet and the girl definitely goes for what she wants. Yeah, sometimes it's without the benefit of forethought, training or common sense - but she's determined and is willing to do what needs to be done.

Not saying a word.

Sebastian: Able to be sassy while also being completely vile.

Finally realizing what the 5th wave was... yeah, didn't see that coming.

Heaven help me, but I marathoned the After series. Does it make it any better if I hated myself while doing it? LOL

The Addicted series is hands-down my favorite contemporary series. And my favorite couple is Lily and Lo. Their books, with both Lily and Lo's point of view, are priceless. They hurt and suffer and struggle but they also hope and fight and love. Being in their heads isn't always easy - but it's always worth it.

I never saw this one coming and I remember I had to reread the page several times for it to sink in. Still so sad.

Just one, seriously? This happens a lot but if I have to pick one...

Best series ender. Best epilogue ever.

This one seems fairly obvious but I'm going with it anyway.

I'm going to go the easy route and say if you're reading this post
and you want to do the tag... then hey, you're tagged! :)

  1. I 1000000000% percent agree re: Kat being underrated and HP surviving forever! I need to read the Ritchie sisters books, too -- I have heard they are awesome. I loved this tag so!! ♥

    1. I swear, I'm guilty about obsessing over Daemon, too, but our girl Katy deserves some love. :) And you totally need to introduce yourself to Krista & Becca Ritchie! There's actually an Addicted series readalong going on right now that just started yesterday. Sarah @ Words With Sarah and Gen @ Latte Night Reviews are hosting it. And the first book (Addicted To You) is usually free for download. Have I twisted your arm enough? LOL

  2. Sassiest villain for Sebastian definitely takes the cake! and i couldn't agree more with your comment on ACOTAR! the descriptive writing Maas used in that book and the worldbuilding itself was so on point I have to say that book is hands down one of the best "escapism" books for me!
*that sentence was super awk but i'm sure you catch my drift. words are escaping me this Monday morning LOL.

  5. BEST EPILOGUE EVER! TID IS BAE!
Katie is a great character. She's also able to put up with Daemon, so that says a lot. ;)
