Top Ten Tuesday: Most Recent TBR Additions

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme

There was a time when I added books to my TBR left and right. Something looked mildly interesting? Added it to the TBR. I read an interesting review? Bam, it went on the TBR. These days I'm a lot more discriminating. I have to be truly excited about a book for it to make it to the TBR. So here are the ten most recent additions to my To Be Read list.

The Story of Us - Tara Sivec | Before We Were Yours - Lisa Wingate | Just Friends - Tiffany Pitcock
The Night Mark - Tiffany Reisz | The Light We Lost - Jill Santopolo
The Hard Truth About Sunshine - Sawyer Bennett | Violet Grenade - Victoria Scott
My Skylar - Penelope Ward | Words in Deep Blue - Cath Crowley
Eliza and Her Monsters - Francesca Zappia

Have you read any of these?
What have you most recently added to your TBR?

  2. I haven't read any of these-nor do I have them on my TBR. I always say though- TTTs are the best way to hear about books! I did something similar in my list, I didn't choose a genre, just listed some books on my TBR.

  3. I TRY not to add things to my TBR willy-nilly but it doesn't always work lol. I know what you mean though, we have to try. :)

I'm curious about Violet Grenade and Eliza and her Monsters.

    1. I've become near-militant about not adding random stuff to the TBR. LOL

  4. Haha! I have to say, your old way is exactly how I still do my TBR lists (my list is splits in several lists and categories, it's that bad!) Since I'm an eclectic reader, I love having a lot of choices, but I'm much more discriminating when it comes to buying books or borrowing from the library, fortunately.

Eliza and her Monsters and Words in Deep Blue both sound good, I'm hoping I'll get to read them too. Great list!

    1. Thanks Kay! Last year I went through my GoodReads TBR and weeded out A LOT. I was heartless. LOL Felt good to get rid of stuff I'd lost interest in, though.

  6. My TBR is full of books that make me question my sanity that day! Sometimes I look at a book on my TBR and think "Was this a mistake? Was my goodreads account hacked? Why would I mark this as to read??" So like you, I am pretty picky now!

    1. LOL So I'm not alone! :) About a year ago I went thru my GoodReads TBR and weeded it out like crazy. I was brutal about it. I had lost interest in so much stuff that I had added ages ago. And yeah, some of it was like, "Did someone else add this? Was I having an out of body experience?" LOL

  7. I try to be picky about what I add to my tbr list as well, but it still manages to get longer and never shorter! I've not read any of these books, but the covers are gorgeous. Here is my Top Ten Tuesday!
