The Sunday Post #82

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:

If you're in the U.S. I imagine you're preparing for Thanksgiving on Thursday. I'm hosting for the first time this year so I have a low level of stress simmering. LOL My to-do list is a mile long and I'm wondering how in the world everything is supposed to get done when I'm at the office for roughly 9 hours a day. *takes deep, calming breath* (Note to self: take focus off to-do list and instead enjoy the day with family.)

However you spend the day - with family, with friends - I hope you are happy and safe and filled with gratitude. And know that when I am remembering all that I am thankful for, you are on that list.

  1. Tanya - I believe in you! I am sure you will be the hostess with the most-ess. I, myself, never host, and I am childless for the holiday, which puts a damper on it for me, but I heard there will be pie... I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

    1. Aw, thanks Sam! It would help if I was better at delegating but if I haven't learned to let go of certain things by now it probably isn't going to happen. LOL It'll be good, though. I have a page-long list and I'm making my way through it. :) Sorry you won't be seeing your daughter for the holiday. You deserve extra pie. {hugs}

    1. Definitely stressful... and so much to do! But my mom is really (past) ready to pass on the hosting duties (she's 72) so I really couldn't say no.

  5. omg have fun hosting Tanya, it's going to be great! We host Friendsgiving at our apartment and I'm always sure to call the veggies. Veggies I can cook, I'm a mess when it comes to meats.

  10. We're doing Thanksgiving at my house, but it's just my mom and dad coming, and since my mom practically lives with us anyway, it's really just my dad. I don't get that stressed about it because me, my mom and my husband all do the meal together. I hope your meal goes smoothly!!

  14. Ahh - Thanksgiving! Funnily enough we don't celebrate that here and yet the consumerism is 100% in line with all our shops doing Black Friday sales... It's crazy.

    Yikes - yes - work and everything just takes up so much dang time! I don't know how we're supposed to keep up!

    Ha ha- your totally randoms made me chuckle! Thanks for that!

    1. Thanks Di :) I swear sometimes blogging feels like a part-time job that I try to work around my full-time job. And not always very successfully. Definitely time consuming!

    1. Thanks for that! :) I definitely did get to slow down and just enjoy the time with family on Thursday. I took the "don't sweat the small stuff" mentality and just focused of the people around me. :)
