This week's Top 5 Wednesday topic:
Favorite M/M Couples

Ryan Wesley & Jamie Canning
Him | Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy
I've lost count of how many times I've reread Him and Us - both the books and the audio versions. I have so much love for these two guys.

Simon & Blue
Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda | Becky Albertalli
Same goes for Simon. I very rarely reread, but when it comes to Simon, I can't seem to get enough. And Simon and Blue together... I just can't. Too precious for words.

Tanner & Sebastian
Autoboyography | Christina Lauren
I just finished this one a few days ago and it became an instant favorite. Tanner and Sebastian had me feeling All The Feelings.

Magnus & Alec
The Mortal Instruments series | Cassandra Clare
Magnus is already once of the awesomest (that's a word, right?) characters ever, and he and Alec together are just perfection.

Lando & Dom
Leveled | Jay Crownover
These guys only got a novella but even in that short amount of time I totally fell for them and the way they supported one another.

Have you read any of these?
Do you have a favorite M/M couple?

  1. I'm sad the only one I've read is Simon!

    1. You're missing out, woman! :) I know they're all contemporary except for one but you would probably enjoy Autoboyography the most. I loved it.

  2. I've read Simon and Him.

A few of my faves are Reese and Tom from Off Campus by Amy Jo Cousins, Apollo and Dylan from At Attention, Mason and Nash from Trust with a Chaser both by Annabeth Albert, and almost every couple from Megan Erickson and Santino Hassell's Cyberlove series.

  3. I love m/m couples SO much - totally agree with Jamie and Wes, Simon and Blue. And I NEED Autoboyography. I agree with a lot of Karen's comments too - Dylan and Apollo are great and Megan and Santino's couples are pretty great too. This is a tough one! I'd have to really sit down and think; I have so many faves! LOL

    1. Autoboyography was so good, Lauren! I kept hearing all the raves and it totally lived up to the hype. I'm definitely going to have to pick up At Attention by Annabeth Albert. I need to meet those guys. :)

  4. Ahh, I forgot about Magnus and Alec! I never finished that series, but I did love them together. I'm sure I'll love Simon and Blue--but, embarrassingly, I haven't got to that one yet (hangs head in shame). It should have been on my TTT for this week! I should really read Him, too--I love Elle Kennedy so much!

    1. I swear when Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen write together it's like magic. Love it! I just started Good Boy by them last night and it features some characters from Him and Us so I'm in heaven. :) Simon Vs. remains one of my all time faves. Funny and sweet and heartbreaking and real... loved it. Now go forth and read it. LOL

  5. Magnus and Alec would definitely make my list! I NEED to read Simon and Autoboyography! I have both, so sooooon. Hmm, who is my favorite M/M couple? This probably means nothing to you but... MACKSON! (Miller and Jackson, from The 100!!)

    1. LOL You're right... MACKSON means nothing to me. Actually, almost anything TV-related means nothing to me. Ha!

Okay, do yourself a favor, do ME a favor, read Simon and read Autoboyography. You will fall in love with both. I (practically) guarantee it.

*Disclaimer: Tanya assumes no actual responsibility if Shannon does not love aforementioned books. Read at your own risk. Buyer beware. E pluribus unum. Etc, etc.

  6. I really want to read Him and Autobiography! I have Simon but haven't had a chance to read it yet! Magnus and Alec--always. I just finished The Song of Achilles and his relationship with Patroclus was endearing. HeartShip will be my next MM, and I'm hoping to get to it soon!

    1. I've heard such amazing things about The Song of Achilles.

Simon and Autoboyography are both just amazing. Love them so, so much.

I haven't heard of Heartship... will have to look that one up.

  8. Jamie and Wes! YESSS! *sigh* I'd forgotten about Magnus and Alec but I do adore them as well. I haven't met the others...but they're on my list. ;) You have to meet Tate and Logan from Ella Frank's Temptation series sometime. :)

BTW, I got so excited about Jamie and Wes - I typed Wes' name twice! So I deleted that first attempt. ;)

    1. I definitek have the Temptation series on my TBR... thanks to you. :)

LOL Understandable. I get excited over Jamie and Wes, too. Actually I just started Good Boy and Jamie and Wes are in it so I'm just filled with all the wonderful Wesmie feels. :)

  9. TOTALLY with you on Magnus and Alec! ♥️ I need to read Simon... I have been wanting to but other contemporaries have shoved to the front of the line. Autoboyography’s cover is so ugly that I can’t bear the thought of reading it but I have heard all praise for it... I may have to get over my dislike... 😉

    1. Simon just stole my heart. ♥ Love that one.

I had to laugh at your comment about the cover of Autoboyography because I love the cover of that one. LOL Maybe you can buy it and immediately remove the dust jacket. Or get it on Kindle so you don't have to see the cover every time you pick it up. =P

  10. Behind so much on my reading. I think you have several books on my want list. I really need to start reading Jay Crownover. He is on the top of my must read list!

    1. I've only read Jay's (a kick-ass *she*, actually) Marked Men series but really enjoyed it - more than I thought I would. Before I knew it I was hooked on all the characters and pretty much binge read the whole series on audio.

  11. I think the only M/M books I have read are YA, and I love the three you mentioned. I think Alec and Magnus are my favorite, but I feel it's because I have spent so much time with them and shared so many experiences with them.
