WWW Wednesday #22 | September 5, 2018

WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
Just answer three questions and share what you're reading.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

Nine Minutes - Beth Flynn
I was idly perusing my Kindle last night deciding what to read (because all my books are packed up which makes reading a physical book a no-go) when I came across Nine Minutes. It's been languishing on my Kindle for 3 years. I'm already at the 75% mark and the story is fine, but you know what really feels great? Reading one of my own books. Randomly picking a book for no other reason than it sounded good at the time. It's been too long. (Look for an upcoming post on ARCs and why I've taken a giant step back.)

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?

More Than We Can Tell - Brigid Kemmerer
Someone I Used to Know - Patty Blount
Two winners - back to back. Rev's story in More Than We Can Tell was everything I wanted and more.  And Someone I Used to Know was ah-mazing and unforgettable.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL READ NEXT?

I Found You - Lisa Jewell
The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue - Mackenzi Lee
Who knows?! It was so freeing to just randomly pick a book last night and start reading - no TBR, no advance plan - that I might just do it again. But even with keeping my options wide open, these are both possibilities.

What are you currently reading?
I wanna know! :)

    1. I have it on hold on Overdrive. It’ll be much easier to read that way instead of lugging around my hardcover copy. :)

  2. I am elated to see all your reads have been winners. Yeah! I haven't read either of the two you have on deck, but I have seen a billion good reviews for Gentleman's Guide.

  5. I just finished Pride but I have no idea what I'll pick up next. Probably a *for fun* read.

    Gentleman's Guide was adorable.

  6. I haven't read any of these, but most are on my list! I just downloaded the Winter audiobook from my library, and I'm looking forward to finish The Lunar Chronicles. I also recently finished Royally Endowed, too. It was delicious and a perfect ending for the series!

  10. I'm with you on ARCs. I was loving being my own master and reading only what I chose to read but lately I've fallen down the ARC hole! So many reading commitments... I've promised myself that I'll request no more and clear off the list before committing to anything else for there are so many of my own I want to start reading!

    1. I am feeling lighter and happier with every ARC I cross off my list. I’m taking care of what I already have and then no more. I miss reading my own books!
