WWW Wednesday #24 | September 19, 2018

WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
Just answer three questions and share what you're reading.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
I just started What If It's Us and though my reading time is sparse right now (unpacking boxes is my life) I can't wait to really get into it. I'm still in chapter one and Arthur and Ben are having their meet-cute at the post office. So adorable!

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?
The second book in the Ribbon duology, The Girl & Her Ren pretty much broke my heart. OMG, the angst, the sadness. Hence my need for the utter preciousness of What If It's Us right now.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL READ NEXT?
The current plan is to start The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue just as soon as it's available (I'm #1 on my Overdrive hold).

What are you currently reading?
I wanna know! :)

    1. I've actually never read anything by Adam Silvera before (gasp!) but I adore Becky Albertalli so that's what sold me on this one. :)

    1. Deadlines are important! And the "not self-imposed" kind are even scarier. Ack!
Really, really enjoyed What If It's Us. I kinda wanted more from the ending (a little too open for my taste) but still so good. Hope you get a chance to read it soon!

  10. I'm glad you're getting some precious after the angst. :) I actually want to read all three of these so I'm looking forward to seeing your thoughts. I recently finished Wild Like the Wind by Kristen Ashley (LOVED!) and I'm now reading Hard Sell by Lauren Layne. :)

    1. Oh my gosh, I so needed something cute after all that angst. Gah!
Was Wild Like the Wind one you hadn't read before? In my head I'm convinced that you've read *everything* by KA. Multiple times. LOL

  13. Sounds like What If It's Us is gonna be good if you're already finding it adorable!

Ooh angst and sadness can be great, but yeah, I usually need to balance it out with something light afterward too!

    1. I'll admit I wanted a little more from the ending (but that's just me and my love of endings being tied up with the neat little bow LOL) but I enjoyed the story so, so much!

  15. I think What If It's Us is super cute, if not totally earth shattering. Definitely an adorable read. I need to read Gentleman's Guide too- I planned on it about a month ago and then... didn't. I just finished Sawkill Girls last night (meh) and started This Cruel Design!

    1. True, not life-altering, but still so cute and enjoyable. I mean, Simon it was not. LOL I just started The Gentleman's Guide last night. Monty is already amusing me. I hope This Cruel Design was better than Sawkill Girls!

  17. I have to admit, I was kind of disappointed with What If It's Us! :( It was cute, but I think there wasn't enough substance in it. Anyway, I've had a copy of The Gentleman's Guide for a few months and I need to read it as well!

    1. Yeah, WIIU wasn't exactly life-changing... but I still enjoyed it. Arthur and Ben felt so real to me and I'm such a character-driven reader that it was easy to get invested in their story. :)
