Top Ten Tuesday: The Books I Meant to Read in 2018

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic:
The Books I Meant to Read in 2018

Oh, the list goes on and on. All the should've's, meant to's and wanted to's. Picking ten was no problem and I could have just as easily picked 20 (or 30... or more). I'd like to say that all ten of these are going to take top priority and will be read immediately but why lie? They will get read... eventually.

The Great Alone | Kristin Hannah
Restore Me | Tahereh Mafi
Watching You | Lisa Jewell
A Court of Frost and Starlight | Sarah J. Maas
Punk 57 | Penelope Douglas
9 Days & 9 Nights | Katie Cotugno
Leah on the Offbeat | Becky Albertalli
The Smallest Part | Amy Harmon
Roomies | Christina Lauren
Josh & Hazel's Guide to Not Dating | Christina Lauren

Have you read any of these?
What book did you really mean to read in 2018?

  1. I've read 5 of these- Roomies, Josh and Hazel, Watching You, 9 Days & 9 Nights and Punk 57 - and enjoyed them. I want to get to Leah too.

  2. I also really wanted to read The Great Alone last year, but didn't get to it! I did start ACOFAS but never made it all the way through. Whoops! I hope you get to read all of these!

  3. Watching You- yes yes yes! I was so going to read that as soon as it came out, being the new Lisa Jewell fan I am lol, but with the holidays and all... I didn't. I need to prioritize that sucker!

  4. You know how I have nothing but love for Josh & Hazel and 9 Days & 9 Nights. I have Roomies and need to read it too. We should try to coordinate a buddy read in the spring. We can make each other read it. I was really, really happy with Restore Me. I mean, Mafi really shook things up, but the new things she introduced are awesome. I started the audiobook for The Great Alone, and it just was not the right kind of story for that format. I need to try to actually read the book, because there are lots of raves out there for it.

    1. I would love to do a buddy read of Roomies. :) I’ll hold off on that one until we can make a plan. I need to re-check my library for 9 Days & 9 Nights. I don’t really want to pay for the hardcover or the KIndle version. Even the Kindle is $8.99. Yikes!

  6. You must read Josh & Hazel! I LOVED it! I want to read Watching You, too. I have it hold at the library so I'll patiently wait my turn for the audio. Punk 57 was another I wanted to get to. Hope you're able to knock these out. :)

    1. Thanks Jess! I’ve seen such mixed reviews that it got me nervous and I kept putting it off. I really want to change that soon.

  10. I think I have about 100+ books I meant to read last year, I did try to start the Shatter Me series but DNF-ed that. I do recommend Roomies from your list, though. I read it last year and it was amazing.

  11. I'd really like to read Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating.... Or any Christina Lauren novel.
I read ACOFAS but I was pretty underwhelmed by it. :( It was a nice read but it was very slice of life and although it sets up the next trilogy I'm almost 100% certain that everything pertinent to the next trilogy will be recapped in book one of it, so...

    1. I’ve heard similar comments about ACOFAS... but I’ll still take the extra dose of Rhys and Gang. :) I’ve loved the two I’ve read from Christina Lauren so far.
