Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
THIS WEEK'S TOPIC:
BOOK TITLES THAT WOULD MAKE GREAT SONG TITLES
This was a fun one mostly because it was so easy. Crazy how many book titles lend themselves so easily as song titles. And some of those have such a vibe that you just know what kind of song it would be.
I'm torn between a country song and a folky singer-songwriter vibe.
An atmospheric song from an indie band.
Heavy metal, obviously.
Actually, this is a song title by ELO from the early 80's.
A country song, no doubt.
Something by Maroon 5.
An adult-contemporary love song.
A Taylor Swift song about an ex.
A power ballad.
A pop/rock song from Imagine Dragons.
HAVE YOU READ ANY OF THESE BOOKS?
I like Echoes Between Us and Wild at Heart!
ReplyDeleteI'd be surprised if there wasn't already a song called Wild at Heart. :)
DeleteRage and Ruin would be a great song title! Thanks for stopping by earlier.
ReplyDeleteThat one definitely sounded like a song title to me.
DeleteLies & Lullabies seems country to me. I don't know if I could do as well as you did with all of these.
ReplyDeleteThis was a fun one... endless possibilities. :)
DeleteLies and Lullabies feels like it was made to be a song! I'm definitely feeling a country-vibe from it :) And Wild at Heart would indeed be a perfect Imagine Dragons song!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lindsey - some of these just seemed to fit perfectly to a specific genre.
DeleteRage and Ruin would definitely be a heavy metal or rock song! I love that you also put a music genre!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nick! This was a fun one. :)
DeleteI think EVERYONE found this topic easier than I did. For some reason, my brain just can't combine books and music! You came up with some great ones :)
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Sorry this week's prompt had you struggling, but the punny cozy titles were great! :)
DeleteBwahahah I too chose to add the style of music and I added a singer. Rage and Ruin would definitely be heavy metal!
ReplyDeleteOh yes, as soon as I considered Rage and Ruin I could imagine Nine Inch Nails or Metallica. LOL
DeleteThese are awesome. I love that you put what type of artist you think would sing these. I can totally see it!

Thanks Lauren! Some just seemed so obvious. LOL
DeleteI love all of your choices! It's hard to pick just one to comment on. I would love to hear a song about Echoes Between Us, though. That is cool song title.
ReplyDeleteI think it would make an awesome song... especially if they based it on the book. :)
DeleteEchoes Between Us has made a few lists and rightfully so! Rage and Ruin would definitely be awesome!
ReplyDeleteRage and Ruin sounds so obvious that I can't believe there's not already a song called that. LOL
DeleteI would love to listen to a bittersweet, chill folk song called Lies & Lullabies. Great list!
ReplyDeleteAnd since that one came from a book about a rock band, it seems like an obvious choice. :)
DeleteWild at Heart sounds like a stevie Nicks song. :) Say You Still Love Me sounds like Fleetwood Mac. I must be on a Fleetwood/ Stevie bender... :)
ReplyDeleteI think Fleetwood Mac actually did have a song called Say That You Love me! So, pretty close!
DeleteHahaha these are all so great!! Hope these artists take note!
ReplyDeleteRight? They need to get busy writing... and sharing the royalties. :)
DeleteThis is such a fun topic and I'm loving reading all the answers.
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
I was surprised at how easily book titles could be used a song titles.
DeleteWhat You Left Behind definitely sounds like it could be a Maroon 5 hit. Here's my TTT list this week.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to hear that one. :)
DeleteGreat list! I can totally picture Wild at Heart as an Imagine Dragons title.
ReplyDeleteThey need to get busy and write that one for us. :)
DeleteExcellent list. I think I like What You Left Behind best.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to hear that one. :)
DeleteHow creative! My favorites are What You Left Behind, Regretting You, and Wild at Heart - could totally see all of those as songs!
ReplyDeleteNow to get the artists to write the songs... lol
DeleteI have found that book titles have some of the most creative and almost whimsical themes that would make great song titles as well. The only one on your list that I have read has been "The Lucky Heart" but many of the others I do have my TBR.
ReplyDeleteIt was fun to imagine so many book titles as songs!
DeleteThese are so great! I definitely think Echoes Between Us would be an amazing song!
ReplyDeleteI wish it really was a song! :)
DeleteYou're so right—a good title is a good title, and it lends itself to songs, books, whatever. I really enjoyed your list this week! Lies & Lullabies is such a great title.
ReplyDeleteThanks Christopher! I'd love to hear a song with that title... especially if it was based on the book. :)
DeleteI loved Echoes Between Us & Rage and Ruin! And I always saw Rage and Ruin as a title to a Metallica song lol! Fabulous list!
ReplyDeleteJen @ Star-Crossed Book Blog
Rage and Ruin could totally be a Metallica song. LOL
