Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic:
Books with Single-Word Titles
This week's actual topic (Books Titles That Are Complete Sentences) just was not working for me. After I'd browsed through half a dozen pages of my Read shelf on Goodreads I had exactly one viable option. So I decided to go to the opposite end of the spectrum and go with one word titles. I've done this before but it's been over a year so why not? Here are my picks for book titles that got it done with just one word.
Have you read any of these books?
Great list! I don't think I've heard of any of these, but I've heard so many good things about Jennifer L. Armentrout's books.
ReplyDeleteArmentrout has been a longtime favorite.
DeleteNow one word titles are actually harder for me. I did read Grip, which I liked, and DNFed Snapped.
ReplyDeleteI should have DNF'd Snapped... it was *not* a hit for me.
DeleteI haven't read any of these, but I'm intrigued by the titles and covers!
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at how many one word titles I've read. :)
DeleteI've been wanting to read Grip, Roommate and WIcked!!!
ReplyDeleteGenesis @ Whispering Chapters
The Grip series is amazing! I'd definitely put that at the top of the list!
DeleteThe prompt this week wasn't working for me either. I couldn't find any of the books I have on my shelf to fit. I've heard amazing things about Birthday by Meredith Russo, but haven't read it yet. Great list!
ReplyDeleteBirthday was a powerful read but man did it break my heart.
DeleteSnapped is a great title.

That series has fun titles. :)
DeleteThere are definitely a lot of books with one-word titles but it works! I have Roommate and hope to read that one soon.

I hope you'll enjoy Roommate... I loved that one.
DeleteThere are so many great one word book titles! I love that you chose Grip and Cake!
ReplyDeleteGrip and Cake... two of my favorites!
DeleteI read and loved Birthday, but Roommate is on my TBR!
ReplyDeleteRoommate was wonderful! Loved that one by Sarina Bowen.
DeleteYeah, I saw Greg do the sentence one and thought it was impressive lol
ReplyDeleteOne word titles is a great spin on it though.
Karen @ For What It's Worth
Greg gets all the points this week! :)
DeleteNice list! I do like a snappy one-word title. You came up with some great ones.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Thanks Susan!
DeleteI love a good one word title so yay! Irresistible is a good one, and so as Soulless.
ReplyDeleteSoulless was a great title... same with the whole series.
DeleteI also struggled with this week's topic and went with something different.

This week was a tough one!
DeleteGreat idea! I'll have to remember this prompt when I want to change the TTT topic. Here is my Top Ten Tuesday list for this week.
ReplyDeleteI was struggling too much with the complete sentences so I had to give myself a break. :)
DeleteLoved Repeat! I read a book titled Soulless too, but not this one. This is a fun prompt!
ReplyDeleteRepeat was such an interesting story... I was pulling hard for that couple. :)
DeleteOh my, while I am familiar with some of the authors and titles, I haven't read any of them.
ReplyDeleteToo many books and too little time, right? :)
DeleteAs you have seen I had the same problem!!! We share Birthday by the way.
ReplyDeleteBirthday was a heartbreaker!
DeleteI like your twist on the topic! I've read a few of these, but most still sit on my TBR.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alison!
DeleteOh, very nice twist this week! We need this as a prompt. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Dedra! I found I had a lot of one word titles to chose from. :)
DeleteI have read just one of these, Roommate. I don't know if I could come up with 10 books that have a sentence as a title either.
ReplyDeleteThe actual prompt this week was a tough one for me!
DeleteRoommate was so good... I just loved those guys.
I love one-word titles. It's amazing how much meaning they can have. Soulless is a powerful one.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised at how many one word titles I had to chose from!
