Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Books Featuring My Favorite Tropes

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic:
Books with Your Favorite Trope/Theme

Picking favorites is akin to cruel and unusual punishment.
No way can I pick just one favorite trope. I have many. Dozens. Scores.
So, naturally, I'm doing my own thing and sharing three of my favorite tropes and some of my favorite books that feature them.

SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE

That Forever Girl - Meghan Quinn
Before We Were Strangers - Renee Carlino
Say You Still Love Me - K.A. Tucker

CHILDHOOD FRIENDS TO LOVERS

Love and Other Words - Christina Lauren
Swear on This Life - Renee Carlino
Queen Move - Kennedy Ryan
Leo - Mia Sheridan

CINNAMON ROLL HEROES

Archer's Voice - Mia Sheridan
Keepsake - Sarina Bowen
Most of All You - Mia Sheridan

Yes, I realize there are three titles included from Mia Sheridan.
What can I say, her books are my catnip.

Have you read any of these books?

  1. I do love a second chance romance and friends to lovers trope. I read and loved Archer's Voice!

    1. I adored Archer's Voice. I want to read the follow-up, Travis, but will probably reread Archer's book first.

  2. Man, I should have done this week's post your way. I went back and forth between three different tropes before I finally picked one. Your way would have been much more fun, lol. That Christina Lauren book is one of my favorites!

    1. I *think* Love and Other Words was the first Christina Lauren book I read. And it's still my favorite from them.

  3. Cinnamon roll heroes! Oh, yes 😍 I could definitely do with more of them! I can't believe I didn't include Love and Other Things OR Josh & Hazel on my list today cos they're two of my fave CLo books! Also, That Forever Girl is still one of my faves! Great list, Tanya 😃

  4. I love all 3 of these tropes! You picked some great ones to fit into them, too. I had never thought of Archer as cinnamon roll before, but you're totally right!

  7. Oh these are all such fun tropes, but I just really, really need more cinnamon roll heroes and I haven't read any of those yet so I'll need to check them out ASAP :)

  8. What are cinnamon roll heroes? Gooey on the inside? I do like a bad boy with a soft heart :) In fiction, anyway. In real life, I like my good boy with a soft heart :)

    Happy TTT!

    1. Cinnamon roll heroes are basically the opposite of the bad boy/alpha heroes. The softer, sweeter guys. Love those. :)

  9. Ooh, I love cinnamon roll heroes!

  10. I love these tropes too and have read 4 of them!

  11. We really are kindred spirits. Same trope and quite a few of the same books too. I liked Say You Still Love me. The camp flashbacks were fun. Kind of funny the way all Bowen's True North books could be second chance romances. Don't care because I LOVED THEM ALL.

    1. Right? Sarina Bowen is such a go-to author. She just never, ever disappoints!

    1. Bowen has so many books... I still haven't caught up with her backlist, either.

  13. I'm the same way about tropes. I love too many of them. That's why I went a bit rogue with this week's TTT. I can't pick favorites!

  14. I absolutely LOVE Mia Sheridan, but I still need to go back and read all of her older books. I loved Most of All You!

  15. Yeah... it's pretty impossible for me to pick a favorite trope, too. ;) I've only read 2 of these, but several others are on my tbr. And I'll be looking up the ones that aren't!

  16. I've not read any of the books on your list, but I sometimes make it a deal to add one to my TBR, so I did that! I added Most of All You :)

  17. I like most of the main tropes - enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, second chance, etc.

  18. I'm a sucker for a cinnamon roll hero. :)

  19. How bad is it that I have only read one (Kennedy Ryan's writing doesn't work for me) but Queen Move has been the only book from her I liked so I can see why that one appealed so much.

Second chance is one of my favorites to read though.

  20. Second change romance is a great trope! I can't fault you for choosing more than one trope because there are so many great ones!
