The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:
I found myself in Barnes & Noble yesterday, wandering the aisles, noting all the new releases, admiring all the pretties, and at one point had 4 books in hand: Alex Approximately, Given to the Sea, Letters to the Lost and Wintersong. I ended up putting all but one back. Now I'm wondering why I didn't just treat myself and buy them all? I hardly ever do that so why not? Do you do that, too? Get in the habit of denying yourself and then wonder why? LOL
The blogoversary giveaway ended and the winner was Sam K. Sam won a book of her choice (up to $20 USD). Congrats Sam! Thanks to everyone who entered and for the support. It means so much.

How was your week? Any new books? Any news to share?
You know I want to hear about it! :)
Love the comic-- so true! Yeah, I know what you mean about not treating yourself when you CAN. I could have gotten more books yesterday but I didn't. Sigh. I'm trying to save more money, so maybe in the future! :)

I swear, I think we get so used to denying ourselves that we never stop to treat ourselves. I need to work on that!
DeleteHahaha, about the things doing in the spare time... mostly reading books and buying them! I'm terrible at buying them before I've read all of them!
ReplyDeleteIsn't that the truth? :) Having loads on unread books on my shelves never seems to stop me from buying more. LOL
DeleteYou so should have treated yourself!! Looks like a good reading week. Have a lovely week ahead!
ReplyDeleteI know, right! Next time I will. I sense a book buying spree in my future. :)
DeleteOooh. New Brittany Cherry. She broke my heart with The Air He Breathes. I keep meaning to read the other books.....I hope you love Alex, Approximately as much as I did. Enjoy all your new books!
ReplyDeleteSam @ WLABB
I've yet to read anything by Brittainy Cherry, Sam! But I put The Air He Breathes on my kinda-sorta April TBR so hopefully I'll get to it soon.
DeleteI wonder that very often! WHY on earth I never treat myself and buy book??? of yes I'm a professional self-denyiner ;-) I see some books I would love to read like of course The Others series, Gravity, and Wicked! Hope you enjoy them !
ReplyDeleteWe obviously need to get better at treating ourselves! :)
DeleteI swear, I am the only person who didn't LOVE The Sea of Tranquility. I just didn't get it! But I love JLA so great picks there!
ReplyDeleteI am always so hesitant to spend money on myself. Like today, I told my husband to by himself a pair of $350 headphones and I am walking around with shoes that are pulling apart at the seams...Sigh...
Have a great week!
That happens to me *all the time*, Samantha. Everyone LOVES a book and I'm like... I don't get it. I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson is a prime example. Everyone raves about it and I actively disliked it. So, I totally get it. :)
DeleteOMG, you too?! My husband spends money on his car stuff and I'm all for it. That's his hobby and it's great! But when it comes to me? I swear, I act like a miser. LOL
I do that a lot Tanya. I go into the bookstore and my head spins from all of the choices. Sounds like you had fun doing it. :) ~Aleen
ReplyDeleteYou're right, I had a great time at the bookstore. Even if I walk out with nothing... it's always time well spent. :)
DeleteOh, I definitely understand lady! I always feel guilty buying myself more than one or two books at a time. I wish my entire paycheck could just be exchanged for new pretties from the bookstore. Sigh. Jennifer Armentrout is amazing, and I really hope you enjoy Wicked. I have a huge faerie obsession and Wicked gave me a wonderful fix <3

Good to know it's not just me. :) But I swear I'm going to allow myself to buy whatever strikes my fancy while on vacation in a couple weeks. (So I say now. LOL) Wicked was so much fun. It was a re-read before I start Torn. I'd forgotten so many details over the last year and a half or so. Now I'm ready to dive into Torn. Bring on more Tink! :)
