The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:
It's been a fairly uneventful week - which is a good thing. It was a busy week at the office but nothing crazy. The Husband was gone most of the day yesterday for a car show (he won Best MOPAR and Best Graphics, thank you very much:), so I took the opportunity to be a hermit all day and loved it. Sometimes a day of hibernation is just what the doctor ordered. :)
So many awesome new releases coming this week! The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli (my review goes up tomorrow, spoiler alert: I loved it), Given to the Sea by Mindy McGinnis (so excited for this one), Mister Moneybags by Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward, and the list goes on. Anything coming out this week that has you excited?
The giveaway for my 2 year blogoversary is still active so if you haven't entered yet there's a few days left. You can check out this post for your chance to win a book of your choice.

You know I want to hear about it! :)
Being a hermit is one of my favorite things to do :) I am just starting The Upside and so happy to see you loved it!!! Hope you have a great week and enjoy your new books!
ReplyDeleteHermits unite! I see from Twitter that you're already loving Upside. I'm so glad!
DeleteCongrats to your hubby! :) I love being a hermit and those comics are the best! I can totally relate to all of them. LOL.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week! ~Aleen
Thanks Aleen! And here's to being hermits! LOL And yeah, I love those comics. I'm all about a cozy reading nest :)
DeleteGreat week you had! I'm also excited for Given to the Sea! I can't wait to check it out!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays!
Thanks Ronyell :)
DeleteBest MOPAR and graphics- nice! :) And I think I've been talked into wanting Given to the sea by the reviews I've seen.
ReplyDeleteI love that graphic! Reading while walking and cozy nests... lol.
I keep seeing such positive reviews of Given to Sea so I'm more excited than ever for that one.
DeleteLove that comic - I'm always smelling books! LOL
ReplyDeleteI need The Upside of Unrequited like NOW, and I'm so happy to hear you loved it.
I hope you'll love The Upside of Unrequited, Lauren!
DeleteCongrats to your husband! And yay for you being a hermit ;) That sounds heavenly!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy those books and have a lovely week ahead!
Amy @ A Magical World Of Words
Thanks Amy! And yeah, I'm all about that hermit life. LOL Sometimes you just need the down-time. Hope you have a wonderful wee as well!
DeleteI loved The Sea of Tranquility and Murder of Crows. I hope you enjoyed them both. They are amazing. Moonshot and Beautiful Redemption are great too. Wow, you have a wonderful week, reading wise. I want to reread those books.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, have great week and happy reading. :)
I swear, The Sea of Tranquility had been on my shelf for years. I don't know why I kept putting it off. I'm loving it! I still haven't found out exactly what happened to Nastya and I'm cringing at how bad it's going to be. :( Hope you have a great week, too!
DeleteOHHHHH I love Sarah's cartoons SO MUCH! I recently reviewed her two books on my blog. I think Jamie McGuire is a great writer. I work in Providence and most of my family lives there so I always wanted to finish that one which unfortunately was a DNF when I first tried. Hope you enjoy it :)
ReplyDeleteYour blog is how I discovered Sarah's cartoons! :) I had never heard of her before but when I recently saw you mention her on your blog I loved it so much that I had to go look her up. I've only read two my Jamie McGuire and I have high hopes for Providence!
DeleteOk, so I swear I am the only person who didn't love Sea of Tranquility. It was a total DNF for me. I don't know why I hated it because everyone else lists it in their top favorite books!
ReplyDeleteProvidence series by Jamie Maguire is AMAZING though! Loved it so much!
Have a great week!
I'm the same way with several *very* popular books, Samantha. Like, everyone adores I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson. I didn't like it *at all.* And there are several others. It's just impossible for every book to appeal to every person so I never worry about it.
DeleteI'm so glad to see you say that about the Providence series! Now I'm even more excited to start it.
I am all for hibernation, whenever and however I can get it in. I love being cozy at home! Congrats to your hubby!
ReplyDeleteYes! Long ago I used to feel bad about it - like I was "wasting" my weekend or something - but no more. Sometimes you just need to check out for a couple days.
