The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:
- I'm writing this on Friday since by the time this posts I will be several states away in North Carolina. The Husband's family is in NC and, while this impromptu visit is not under the best of circumstances, it will still be good to see family.
- A small bonus is that I'll actually be able to enjoy some cooler temps. It was 80 here today, my friends. Eight-zero. Gah! It should be 15-20 degrees cooler in NC so I'm definitely excited about that.
- I decided to forgo a Best In Books for November. I know, I know... I hear your cries of anguish (ahem) but having read a sum total of four books throughout the month it seemed rather pointless. Sadly, I skipped October as well since I managed only five books then. I will be doing a happy dance when this semi-slump finally passes! (And no, I will not be sharing photos of the happy dance. Sorry.)
- Heathrow Airport has released their 2017 holiday commercial and it is priceless. I swear, they do the BEST commercials. (If you've been living under a rock and have never seen them, search YouTube for Heathrow Christmas ads and prepare to have your emotions manipulated.) I'm happy to say the bears from the 2016 ad are back! These teddy bears are just too precious for words and I've watched this latest commercial so many times. ♥

Hoping that Alex Approximately gets you out of your slump. And bears at the airport!
ReplyDeleteJen Ryland Reviews
Thanks Jen - I hope so, too. I almost never experience reading slumps so this is driving me crazy.
DeleteHope you have a great trip even if not under the best circumstances. Sorry you have been slumpy with reading. Hope that changes soon and you have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks Grace. The trip was okay... glad to be back home. This reading slump is killing me. Ugh!

Amy @ A Magical World Of Words
Thanks Amy, I appreciate it. And yeah, at least I got some seriously cooler temperatures while in NC! That part was fun.
DeleteHave fun in NC and safe travels. I love those bears. They are so adorable. I am reading Breaking the Ice right now. It's really good. Better than the first book.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sam. The trip wasn't for anything fun but it went okay and it's always good to be back at home. :) And Saturday was seriously chilly and that part made me happy. LOL I just love those bears! Love hearing that you're enjoying Breaking the Ice! I loved the first book so hearing that you think it's even better is awesome!
DeleteTHAT AIRLINE COMMERCIAL. I saw that on Facebook! It's so good, I almost shed a tear :'(
ReplyDeleteHave fun in NC and travel safe, alright?
I know!!! I just love those little bears! I think it's even better than last year's commercial. :)
DeleteOoh have fun in NC, Tanya! I remember those bears from last time and I agree- they are too adorable for words! Looking forward to see what you think of Alex, Approximately- I've been toying with the idea of picking it up for quite some time now ahaha.
ReplyDeleteHave a great December!
Ruzaika @ The Regal Critiques.
Thanks Ruzaika! I need to stop watching that bear commercial... it's getting ridiculous. LOL I *still* haven't started Alex, Approximately. This reading slump is killing me!

Thanks Lauren. The trip went okay but it's so good to be home.
DeleteHeathrow has some of the best ads! But the Christmas bears are my favorite. :)
HAVE FUN IN NC! You definitely deserve some milder temps. Weather in Chicago was been bizarre to say the least. It's a high of 60 today when we should be hovering in the 30s. I'm just ready for the cool weather!
ReplyDeleteHa! I was waiting for you to say you were enjoying the warmer temps but it sounds like you're ready for the cold! :) It was 75 her today (ugh) but apparently cooler temps are coming. Thursday, Friday and Saturday will be in the 50's. Bring it on!
DeleteEvery one seems to be in a reading slump, me included. Hope we can both get over it.
ReplyDeleteLove that comic, it never gets old. :)
Hope you have a great week! ~Aleen
You, too, huh? Mine has lasted for 2 months now and I am so over it. I'm just not interested in anything I pick up. *sigh* Hope it passes soon for both of us!
DeleteOh no - I'm sorry about the continuing book slump...
ReplyDeleteI love the totally random this week - that really made me chuckle!
I hope you had a great trip and a fabulous week ahead.
Thanks Di! The trip went pretty well but It's always good to get back home.
DeleteThe dreaded reading slump continues, though... and I'm so over it!
Glad to hear you spend some time with your family even though it wasn't under the best circumstances. Funny you want cooler temps when I would go south in a whim! :) Hope your semi-slump is over soon! I bet the holidays will make you curl up with book more often :) I'm off to check that Heathrow Christmas ad [yup my address is # 23 under the rock :) ] Love the gingerbread man joke :)
ReplyDeleteI guess we always want what we don't have, huh? :)
DeleteThe wretched reading slump is still in full effect. Gah! I refuse to force myself to read ( that only makes it worse) but I so want this to be over. *sigh*
Everyone I know is reading or has read Alex Approximately. They all adore it too. Can't wait to hear your thoughts on it <3
ReplyDeleteConfession: I never even started Alex, Approximately. This reading slump is still driving me crazy. I finally started reading Breaking the Ice - but only because I'm on the blog tour and my review is due next week. Ack!
