The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:
- Happy New Year's Eve! How will you spend the evening? Out with friends? Curled up with a book at home? The Husband and I have a tradition of staying in on New Year's Eve. Maybe watch a movie, maybe just read... I'd much rather be at home than out with the crowds.
- I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. My favorite part is always the same - Christmas Eve at my parent's house with the whole family. That's my real Christmas. Christmas Day is much quieter, more low-key... Christmas Eve is the real highlight.
My sisters and me (center). I love how we posed, without thinking, in age order. LOL |
- It seems as though the entire U.S. is getting a blast of (severe) winter weather. We're getting our own version of winter here in Florida. Temps were in the 40's-50's yesterday. Feel free to go ahead and laugh, my Northern friends. :) Everyone here bundled up and bemoaned the frigid weather as if it was -50. LOL
- Freeform has been marathoning the Harry Potter movies all weekend and I can't seem to stop watching despite having seen them all 100 times and having other things to do. Anyone else? :)

Happy New Year!
How was your week? Any new books? Any news to share?
I'd love to hear about it!
Happy NYE! I'm not a big "crowd" person so my ideal NYE is spent at home with the hubs or with friends at someone's home.
ReplyDeleteThis cold air needs to stop!! I didn't leave the house yesterday because it was 8 degrees. Ugh.
And that's a cute photo of you, your mom, and sister!
Crowd avoidance is pretty much my daily mantra. :)
DeleteThe pic is with my 2 sisters but I can't wait to tell *both* of them that they look old enough to be my mom. Bahaha!
8 degrees??? Um, my Southern brain cannot comprehend of such cold.
Happy New Year! We are definitely staying in this year, looking forward to just relaxing and watching a movie. Too cold to go out anyway lol. And yes that IS cold for Florida!
ReplyDeleteI want to read Clinton's book too. Have a great New Year!
Happy New Year, Greg! Hope you had your relaxing evening at home. :)
DeleteI can't stop watching HP either!! I wish we were staying in but we are having some people over and I am not in the mood at all. And it is cold!! like 14 degrees cold. UGH. Hope you have a great week and Happy New Year!

DeleteWell the Freeform HP marathon seems to be over but now they're on HBO. I can't stop! LOL Hope you ended up having a fun evening - even if it started with you not being in the mood for company.
DeleteLove Harry Potter!! Our plans are to stay home with the kids and watch movies. Meanung, they'll be in their phones, I'll be in my Kindle reading, and my husband will be playing a game on his phone too. Family time. Lol... We are in the same room, so I guess I can complain. 😁 I won't laugh at you about your "frigid" temps there. My sister lives in Palm Bay and says it is the 50's today too. She had to get out a jacket. They used to live up here in Tennessee. We are supposed to have record breaking cold here and my husband ask me, "you know where it's not below zero?" Florida. He wants to move back down there every winter.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Tanya!!! 🎉🎊
Ha! Yeah, I imagine that is a pretty accurate description of "family time" in most homes. :) My husband and I sit in the same room, him on his iPad and me on mine. Togetherness. LOL And I think your husband has the right idea! It's very cold this week but you better believe it's not below zero! :)
DeleteHappy New Year! I'm glad you had such a nice Christmas. :) I was out of town this year, but normally Christmas Eve is more of our Christmas too - we usually just cook something and see a movie in theaters on actual Christmas Day.

Happy New Year Lauren! Your Christmas Day sounds about as low-key as mine. I actually like it that way. :)
DeleteHappy new year!!! Yay for having a nice Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Samantha!
DeleteWow! Lots of great books you got here! Glad you had a nice Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!

Thanks Ronyell.
DeleteHappy New Year! I'm staying in too. Howdy from Alabama. I'm not laughing at your comment about cold. Us thin blooded southerners don't do frigid, do we. LOL
ReplyDeleteExactly! We Southerners don't know how to handle cold like that. And don't want to! LOL Happy New Year, Laura!
DeleteHope you had a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year. Mine wasn't too good. I haven't done a Sunday Post in awhile, but I will elaborate this weekend. :/ It is FREEZING here in TX, it feels like up north chill. Have a great week Tanya. :)
ReplyDeleteOh no, I hope everything is okay, Aleen. Or is going to be okay. {{hugs}}
DeleteAw sounds like you had a very lovely Christmas, and I hope you had an equally lovely New Year! I didn't do anything, though I am the weirdo who kind of wishes they had hahah. How is the Hillary book going? I want to start it, but I don't know if my emotions can handle it! And I mean, I would pay actual money for 40 degree weather right now. Why do I have to live in the north!? Sobs. Hope you have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteNYE is just too peopley for me. No likey. The Hillary book is fascinating. And I love that she narrates it herself. She definitely speaks her mind - and I love that. Yeah, I guess that it *actually* got to freezing temps last night (exactly 32 degrees) isn't too impressive, huh? As cold as I am right now, I do NOT want to switch places. LOL
DeleteWe usually stay in on New Years too. This year I ended up with a headache and could barely stay awake until midnight! The kids still think it's fun to stay up, otherwise I probably would have just gone to bed. LOL!
ReplyDeleteNicole @ Feed Your Fiction Addiction
Ugh, sorry to hear about the headache on NYE. A least the kids had fun. :)
DeleteMy family also does the big celebration on Christmas Eve. I love it! Also had a great New Year's. And it's SO cold here that I want to cry. I feel like moving to Florida. Happy 2018, Tanya!!!!

We're getting our own blast on winter (it never made it about 35 today) but I'm guessing that's nothing compared to what you're dealing with. It's cold to me, though! LOL
DeleteYou made a good decision downloading the Bowen book. I am a huge Ivy Years fan and that was a really good one. I hope you like it and much success and happiness for 2018!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely excited to start the Ivy Years series. I just can't get enough of Bowen. :) I hope 2018 is a great year for both of us!
