The Sunday Post #149

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:

It's been a thoroughly uneventful week. So much so that I took off a half-day on Friday. I had grand plans of running some errands but in reality I came home and took a long nap. #noregrets

For the second week in a row I managed five posts which is so not my norm. Spoiler alert: it won't be happening a third week. :)

And I leave you with another 80's favorite...

WHAT I READ IN THE LAST WEEK:

So sweet and funny and sexy. I need more Emma Chase in my life.

Sad to see the series end but the epilogue was priceless.

WHAT I'M CURRENTLY READING:

My Favorite Half-Night Stand - Christina Lauren
I'm at the 90% point (if not more) and will finish this one this afternoon. I'm enjoying it well enough but I will say this hasn't been my favorite by CLo. I'll share my thoughts in a review next week.

All I keep thinking is, Kylie Scott has come a long way, baby. LOL Both guys are instantly in lust/love with the woman - and I'm talking in a matter of hours - and going all caveman about it. At this point I'm continuing to listen for the sheer absurdity and the (unintentional) laughs. 😂

KINDLE BOOKS:

How was your week? Any new books? Any news to share?
I'd love to hear about it!

  1. Uneventful weeks are underrated, I need to start taking half days. It's getting warmer so I'm getting antsier at work!

Ugh, great song you shared, I love that music video!

  4. Way to nap. I don't nap, because I don't really sleep at night, but I know many people find it a delightful treat. I am sad you are not enjoying Half-Night.

    1. Ugh, sorry to hear you have sleep issues, Sam. That has to be miserable. My dad had them and one of my sisters does as well. It makes me extra thankful that I'm typically such a good sleeper.

I promise that I DID enjoy Half-Night! :) I did NOT dislike it at all! But it just wasn't my favorite by them. I mean, how could they top Josh & Hazel or Love and Other Words? Gah! :)

  5. Oh I love that A-Ha video. Good times...

That graphic too made me laugh. :)

Naps are good. I used to hate napping when I was younger, but now... I embrace the naps lol.

  7. Naps are so lovely, right? I so rarely get to indulge that I forget how much I love a good nap.

I've read one book by Devney Perry and enjoyed it. I need to read more. I want to try Schooled, too.

  9. Oh gosh, that A-ha song and video takes me back. I loved that song when it first came out. I'll be so glad once we get past the tax deadline at work so I can squeeze in a few half days off here and there.

Sorry to hear this Christina Lauren book hasn't been the best read. I have very high hopes for their next one. It sounds so good!

  12. Uneventful can be a great thing! I also came home last Friday about 4, unloaded the car and took a nap. I really never do that but I was wiped. I hope you have a great reading week!

  19. It's weird I can practically sleep standing up. I have one daughter that barley sleeps and another that sleeps to much. I can take naps and really like them but don't get them that much. =)
