Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
THIS WEEK'S TOPIC:
THE BOOKS I MEANT TO READ THIS YEAR
This week's prompt is actually Books I Hope Santa Brings, but it would basically be a repeat of last week's prompt (books on my winter TBR), so I decided to go rogue. Instead I'm sharing ten of the books I meant to read this year, but... it just never happened. #storyofmylife #bookwormproblems
HAVE YOU READ ANY OF THESE BOOKS?
WHAT BOOK DID YOU NOT GET TO IN 2020?
Credence sure does sound interesting!
ReplyDeleteMy post.
My fingers are crossed that I enjoy it. :)
DeleteBlood and Ash, Love Lettering and In Five Years were all books I hoped to read this year too... Oh well. Maybe next year?
ReplyDeleteHopefully we'll both get to them next year, Nicci! :)
DeleteI adored Love Lettering, That Swoony Feeling, and Heart Bones. I hope 2021 allows you time to read them!
ReplyDeleteMe too, Deanna! I feel like a couple of those could be five star reads for me.
DeleteI want to read In Five Years too. I think I would like it.
ReplyDeleteI have high hopes for that one!
DeleteYou Were There Too was a bit of a miss for me, unfortunately, but I enjoyed the surprises in In Five Years!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed that it works better for me! :)
DeleteIN FIVE YEARS is one I TOTALLY meant to get to this year. Didn't happen. Hopefully, we'll both get to it in 2021. THE GREAT ALONE is the only book on your list that I've read. I loved it, although it's super sad.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Hopefully we both get to In Five Years in 2021... and love it!
DeleteI could not get into Love Lettering - something about it just did not work for me. Heart Bones and When You Come Back to Me were fantastic though!
ReplyDeleteHopefully Love Lettering will work better for me. And I have high hopes for Heart Bones and When You Come Back to Me!
DeleteI went rogue too for the same reason. :) Hope you get to some of these soon and that they're great!
ReplyDeleteFingers crossed I'll get to them sooner rather than later. :)
DeleteGreat list! I keep seeing From Blood and Ash popping up all over the place, I think I need to check it out. =)
ReplyDeleteArmentrout is a longtime favorite so I have high hopes.
DeleteYes there were so many books I wanted to get to, but that just didn't happen. I have heard that Credence is really good. I need to get back to reading Douglas more. Hope you get a hold of these soon and enjoy them.
ReplyDeleteI've only read one other by Douglas so I don't have a lot to base an opinion on... but I really like the sound of Credence.
DeleteOh gosh, so many books! I always wish I could fit more books in, but hopefully I'll continue to do well by reading the books I own in 2021.

Same here, Lauren. I really enjoy reading from my own shelves.
DeleteOh good list!! I've not read any of these!
ReplyDeleteHopefully there are some new favorites in there. :)
DeleteOh there were too many books I did not get to in 2020 - Addie LaRue, Mexican Gothic - and many that I moved on from half way through too... not ones I DNF'd but that are waiting for me to come back to! This is my post - Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteOMG.. You so have to read From Blood and Ash. It's sooooo good! It's my absolute favorite read of this year, but it's also on my favorite of all times list. I read the second book already too.. and book three is coming next year. I can't wait. I hope you'll get to it soon. ;)
ReplyDeleteWow, there's no denying how much you loved FBaA if it's an all time favorite! Guess I need to make that one a priority!
DeleteI hope you like The Great Alone! I think about that book surprisingly often.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I need to get myself emotionally prepared for that one.
DeleteYes! I have read and loved From Blood and Ash and When You Come Back to Me! And I have read but very disliked (so I am very curious about your thoughts) Credence!
ReplyDeleteCredence definitely seems to be quite polarizing.
DeleteI meant to read The Great Alone and didn't get to it either. I just finished The Brightest Night - that cliffhanger is killing me! It's another wild one!!! I also loved From Blood and Ash, Love Lettering, and Heart Bones!! Hope you can get to them all soon!!
ReplyDeleteJennifer Armentrout really knows how to write those cliffhangers!
DeleteI had planned to read so many books and it just didn't work out this week. Of course, I didn't read much for several months. I haven't read any of these but I hope you get the chance in 2021!
ReplyDeleteYour summer really got hijacked so I'm sure there was very little reading for several months!
DeleteOoh, I've read a few of these and absolutely LOVED them! I actually just finished That Swoony Feeling this past weekend and it was definitely a great wrap up to the series. I'm sad it's over 😂 I was also meant to read In Five Years this year but ... Hopefully next year? I hope you enjoy all of these whenever you get to them!
ReplyDeleteYou have me so excited for That Swoony Feeling!
DeleteSo many books I meant to read and haven't got to them yet. Guess there's still a few days left! Curious about the CoHo book.
ReplyDeleteI *might* squeeze in one more book this year... otherwise, better luck in 2021! :)
DeleteThe Great Alone is a good one to read this winter if you can fit it in. Very atmospheric with that Alaskan setting. I have so many books I meant to get to this year. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is probably at the top of that list.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely going to try and squeeze in The Great Alone this winter.
DeleteI LOVED both of those JLA books! I'm thinking her FBAA series may be her best one yet *I'm sorry Daemon!!*.

Better than the Lux series?! Better than Daemon?! Sacrilege, Jen! LOL
