THIS WEEK'S TOPIC:
EVERGREEN EDITION
This week's prompt is a holiday/seasonal freebie so I'm keeping it simple and making
an evergreen tree of book covers. Well, I say simple but it was actually anything but. Because apparently green book covers are like unicorns. Or at least I rarely read books with green covers. So I had to do some serious searching to come up with these ten and go waaay back into the archives. Enjoy my little bookish Christmas tree!
HAVE YOU READ ANY OF THE BOOKS IN MY TREE?
Oh, it's lovely!
ReplyDeleteMy post.
Thanks Lydia :)
DeleteAh I love this! The dark green on the US ACOWAR is so much prettier than the light green on the UK one.

The ACOTAR series all have such gorgeous covers!
DeleteThat's a super cute idea! I love your book tree. I may have read Ghost Town, but I don't know for sure. I know I read some of Caine's Morganville Vampires series, but I don't remember where I stopped.
ReplyDeleteToo bad the Morganville series didn't get more attention. I thought it was great! :)
DeleteGreen book covers ARE hard! You found some vibrant ones here. I love them! They make a pretty tree.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deanna... I was surprised I had so few green covers!
DeleteFun! It's a lovely tree.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Thanks Susan. :)
DeleteI love this! And In a Holidaze is the perfect "topper" for your tree!
ReplyDeleteI thought so, too. :)
DeleteIn A holidaze looks perfect for the holidays! I love green covers, by the way- excellent topic. :)
ReplyDeleteIn a Holidaze was such a fun read!
DeleteI spy my favorite Moyes book. That is so underrated.
ReplyDeleteThat's actually my least favorite by Moyes, Sam. I don't know if it was the characters or the story or what but I felt disconnected the entire time.
DeleteI've had Verity on my list for a good while now. I don't think I have a lot of green books either. I'll have to go through and check to see. I'd love to do a red and green bookstack for my instagram.
ReplyDeleteA red and green display would be gorgeous!
DeleteI love how you've set your list out! All that green together looks so satisfying. I loved The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and I'd like to give In a Holidaze a try!
ReplyDeleteEvelyn Hugo was such an amazing book (and character!). I hope you'll enjoy In a Holidaze!
DeleteThis is my favorite take on this that I've seen so far. I love your tree! What a fantastic idea. Here's my take on this week's TTT if you're interested: https://www.howdidthatbookend.com/top-ten-tuesday-wintry-reads/ I went for wintry thrillers!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Caroline! What a nice thing to say. :) I had fun doing it.
DeleteI love this! I have not read any of the books in your tree yet but I have several of them on my tbr.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carole! :)
DeleteOh this is such a cute idea, love it! I can't wait to read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo. And In a Holidaze is the perfect tree topper ;)

I hope you'll love Evelyn Hugo when you get to it, Alycia!
DeleteI had this same problem a few months ago. I thought it would be so easy to find green covers, but nope. But you did a great job—and with the perfect little star on top!
ReplyDeleteLOL Thanks Christopher. Going green was tougher than I thought. :)
DeleteLove the picture set up, and I absolutely loved One Plus One! Hopefully, I'll be reading In a Holidaze soon. I need to get it done!
ReplyDeleteYou and Sam both loved One Plus One but it just wasn't a big hit for me. Probably my least favorite from Moyes. I hope you'll love In a Holidaze!
DeleteI love this! I really want to read Verity, and I have In a Holidaze coming.

In a Holidaze was so fun! And Verity was... something else! LOL
DeleteOh, such a fun idea, I love you book tree :) And I just finished In A Holidaze and really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Lindsey! And I'm so glad you enjoyed In a Holidaze, too!
DeleteI love how you arranged these in a tree! And yes I have read TJR and SJM ;-) Well done
ReplyDeleteThanks Sophie... TJR is such a favorite of mine.
DeleteI just LOVE your christmas tree of books there. I haven't read hardly any except for the Devney Perry. But you are right in that Green covers are more rare which is weird because its such a vibrant passion filled feeling type of color. We need more green in the books we read.
ReplyDeleteI really love the Jamison Valley series from Devney Perry. I only have one or two books left so I'll be sad to see it end.
DeleteVery creative! Green covers are hard to find. You’re not imagining it. For one of my publishing classes in college, we had a few professional cover designers as guest lecturers. One of them said that green covers don’t sell as well as other colors, so he avoids designs that are mostly green.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
No Kidding! Well, that's interesting. I'm sure there's some psychology behind that. I'd love to know the reasoning.
DeleteCute cover tree! And I agree about green covers. I had started out trying to come up with a mix of red and green covers but could only think of a couple of green ones and gave up, lol.
ReplyDeleteLOL Who knew green book covers would be so challenging? :)
DeleteThis was so creative, I love it! And I have loved and read In a Holidaze, Daimon. The others I need to double check they're on my tbr ♥.
ReplyDeleteJen @ Star-Crossed Book Blog
Thanks Jen! :) In a Holidaze was so much fun!
DeleteVery cool! I have read only two books on your tree but have several others waiting to be read. :)
ReplyDeleteWho knew I'd read so few green books? :)
