Frustrating books are no fun! I’m glad you liked most of them, though. :)

Thanks Lydia!
DeleteOoh, My Bestie's Ex doesn't sound like a winner 🙈 But the rest sound great and you've definitely got me curious about a few of them. Baden is already on my TBR and I'm looking forward to reading it (it'll also be my first book by Sawyer Bennett). Great one-word reviews!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dini! I love Piper Rayne but My Bestie's Ex was just okay. Baden was my first by Sawyer Bennett and I definitely want to read more!
DeleteShenanigans is on my TBR, so I'm excited to hear you describe it as swoony!
ReplyDeleteAngela - I hope you'll love Shenanigans!
DeleteSwoony, exceptional, bittersweet. I agree with those having read them. Nice choices today. :)
ReplyDeleteDeanna - Thanks! I desperately need to read more Zapata!
DeleteOooh, you came up with some good ones! I use "gripping" a lot because it's just so descriptive. I also love "immersive," "bittersweet," and "heartrending." They all say so much in just one word. Well done!
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
Susan
Susan - Thanks! Yes, gripping is one I fall back on a lot, too. It just fits so often! :)
DeleteNice list. Swoony is such a good word!
ReplyDeleteThank Wendy! :)
DeleteI wasn't sure about the one word reviews at first either but it was a great challenge and I've been ridiculously overwhelmed by revision for assessments so it was a nice quick one!

Zoe - Sorry to hear about all the studying but glad you found time to participate! :)
DeleteThis was definitely a fun challenge! I haven't read any of these yet, but The Wall of Winnipeg and Me is on my TBR and Exceptional definitely makes me want to read it even more! I also want to read more Sarina Bowen and Swoony is always a good sign :)
ReplyDeleteLindsey - The Wall of Winnipeg and Me was my first by Zapata and I can't believe I waited so long! It was so, so good and I can't wait to read more from her.
DeleteI like this idea, of One Word Review.
ReplyDeleteThanks Alicia :)
DeleteYou came up with some amazing adjectives to review these books! I'm going to write some of them down in case we ever do this again. :D
ReplyDeleteI love these one word reviews. I would agree that Crowbones was immersive.
ReplyDeleteThanks Carole. I loved being back in The Others world.
Delete"Immersive" is a fantastic word. That's exactly how I like to read.
ReplyDeleteFun topic! I had a little trouble with this one so I skipped it, but nice one!
ReplyDeleteI've really liked reading everyone's word choices for this weeks topic. It's definitely not easy to sum up a whole book with one word but it's a cool challenge, I feel like we should all be trying to do this with our reviews as sometimes that single word can be a good push without risking spoilers reading a full review. I totally agree with your words for Wall of Winnipeg and Me and Slave to Sensation.
ReplyDeleteBecky - I agree! I see some reviews that are sooo long and I sometimes think, there's no way I'm reading all that. I might as well read the book. LOL Sometimes less is more! :)
DeleteIt sounds like you enjoyed most of these! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThank you! :)
DeleteThis would be a challenge, but wouldn't it be nice if we could get away with one word for review books? Lol. I've tried to do short and tweet (a play on sweet) doing a review the length of a tweet and that was fun. I should try it again. Yay that you loved The Wall of Winnipeg and Me!!! I'm so thrilled! Also, happy you enjoyed Slave to Sensation! The series only gets better!
ReplyDeleteRachel - Short and tweet... I love it. :) I just finished Visions of Heat, the second Psy book, and I'm ready to grab the third. Already loving this series!
DeleteLove this. I haven't read any of these yet, but the Devney Perry one is on my TBR. And I think I'll have to add some more. ;)
ReplyDeleteMaureen - Devney Perry is such a favorite of mine. I can't remember if you've read her yet, but if not I think you will love her!
DeleteI have not read any of these but the one word reviews are really intriguing!
ReplyDeleteLauren @ www.shootingstarsmag.net
Thanks Lauren!
DeleteI thought I commented on this- huh. Anywho fun post! I like seeing what words everyone picked out for their books. :) I was going to do this one but didn't get it out quite in time lol.
ReplyDeleteGreg - I loved seeing what words everyone chose. Lots of creativity!
DeleteOne word reviews - I like it! Can we make it a thing? lol
ReplyDeleteAt first I thought the topic was one word titles so I was confused. I'm up to speed now haha
Karen @For What It's Worth
Karen - Right? Some reviews are so long and wordy it's like, why? Short and sweet is always preferable to me.
DeleteOoh! This would be a fun challenge, Tanya. And you did well, especially for The Wall of Winnipeg and Me and Slave to Sensation. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Brandee! I can't believe I've waited this long to start the Psy-Changeling series.
DeleteI haven't read any of these yet but your word choices make several of them very tempting. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzanne - it was tricky to narrow down my thoughts on these books to just one word. But a fun challenge. :)
DeleteYou did great! And you're choice of exceptional for The Wall of Winnipeg makes me even more excited to get to it!
ReplyDeleteDedra - Reading The Wall of Winnipeg and Me made me want to kick myself for not trying Zapata sooner!
DeleteThe Wall of Winnipeg and Me is such a good one! I don't think I could do one word reviews... that's just so hard!
ReplyDeleteCarrie - It was hard to come up with one word reviews!
DeleteI need to catch up on Bishop's series. I do love those books--all of them can be described that same way, I think. Good choice!
ReplyDeleteWendy - I'm not a big reader of urban fantasy, but I make an exception for Bishop's Others series. Love those books!
