Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
Books With a Unit of Time in the Title
This was one of those prompts that sounded so simple but ended but being a bit tricky.
It took some deep diving into my Goodreads shelves to find ten books that I've
read that would fit the prompt. Was this an easy one for you?
And just because I'll take any reason to throw in an 80's classic,
here's Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper.
Four Seconds to Lose by K.A. Tucker
99 Days by Katie Cotugno
A Week in Winter by Maeve Binchy
Nine Minutes by Beth Flynn
A Moment for Us by Corinne Michaels
Forever, Interrupted by Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen
Forever Wild by K. A. Tucker
The Witching Hour by Anne Rice
One Day in December by Josie Silver
Have you read any of these books?
This topic actually ended up being pretty easy for me, I was surprised! I love that we had some in common, but so many are different! Love this song, too.
ReplyDeleteThanks Angela!
DeleteI don’t actually know a lot about 80’s music, but Time After Time is such a good song.
ReplyDeleteMy post: https://lydiaschoch.com/top-ten-tuesday-book-with-a-unit-of-time-in-the-title/
Thanks Lydia!
DeleteTime After Time! You know I had to listen to that one. I love it! All Through the Night might be my favorite by her, though.
ReplyDeleteHOW DID I NOT PICK FOREVER WILD OR FOUR SECONDS TO LOSE??? I'm disappointed in myself. We do match with Nine Minutes, but I did The Fifteenth Minute instead of The Year We Fell Down. So fun to read your choices!
Deanna - I love All Through the Night! Possibly my favorite by her.
DeleteThe Fifteenth Minute was a great pick but since I was limiting myself to only books I'd read, I couldn't pick that one.
I looooooove the song Time after Time. I listen to the version by Sam Smith a lot <3 I've not read any book in this post. To stay on topic, I really loved One Day by David Nicholls.
ReplyDeleteEsther - I didn't know Sam Smith did a version of Time After Time. I'm off to look that up!
DeleteHaha love that you included Time After Time *stuck in my head for the rest of the day now* :) We have Forever Wild and One Day in December in common today! Also, 99 Days looks like a fun read.
ReplyDeleteGlad I could provide that earworm, Lindsey. LOL
DeleteWhat a fun group of titles that you have shared here! I really loved Forever Wild, I do need to read that Sarina Bowen!
ReplyDeleteRenee - And I need to finish the series that the Bowen book is from! :)
DeleteGood job! I don't think I'd be able to come up with ten. hah

It was a tough prompt for me this week!
DeleteI love that you included Cyndi Lauper's "Time After Time" on your post. It's one of my favorite songs. I do like QuietDrive's cover better, though.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices for this week's prompt. I struggled and could only come up with eight.
My TTT
Jenni - I'm not aware of the QuietDrive cover so I'm about to look that up! :)
DeleteYou found some really good titles for this week's prompt; you have seconds, minutes, days, weeks and even a year! I'm so impressed. And thanks for commenting on my blog earlier. :D
ReplyDeleteThanks very much, Lark! :)
DeleteFabulous! You managed to include all the important units of time, and you added a soundtrack.
ReplyDeleteThanks Deb! :)
DeleteI haven't read any of those but I read the first Tucker one (can't think of the name lol)
ReplyDeleteEveryone is doing really well with this one.
Karen @For What It's Worth
Ten Tiny Breaths? I think that was the first in that Tucker series. Loved that one.
DeleteThanks so much for posting Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper! Such a great song. Wonderful list!
ReplyDeleteThanks Wendy! I've always loved that one by Lauper.
DeleteMy third spotting of One Day in December, YEA! I am in the minority opinion, but I liked 99 Days.
ReplyDeleteYep, I think we're both in the minority with 99 Days. I hated seeing all the hateful reviews for it.
DeleteOne Day in December is a popular choice this week. :) And yay for Time After Time. That's one of my favorite songs.
ReplyDeleteThanks Suzanne. It's such an 80's classic. :)
DeleteI think a music post with this prompt would be outstanding. :) I like the book picks though. Cotugno is a great choice and One Day in December...
ReplyDeleteGood idea, Greg! A list of songs with "times" in the titles would be fun.
DeleteThis was definitely a tough one for me—until it finally occurred to me to use the search function on Goodreads! It was way easier after that. Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteONE DAY IN DECEMBER is one I still need to read. It sounds adorable.
Happy TTT!

One Day in December was such a great story.
DeleteI actually don't know any of your choices. Yea for me!! New timely books for me to read.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting us earlier!
Always fun to discover new books! :)
DeleteThis topic was only easier for me because I included five books from my tbr, as well. 😃 I have very specific childhood memories associated with that song. Such a great one! I still need to read both of your 'forever' titles. Happy reading this week!
ReplyDeleteI love how we connect specific songs to certain points in our lives.
DeleteLove that song! I've only managed to read a few of these so far. Great list!
ReplyDeleteTime After Time is such a classic. :)
DeleteI love that you added Time After Time!
ReplyDeleteTotal classic! :)
DeleteI am so happy that you chose Nine Minutes too!!!
ReplyDeleteSophie - Of course it reminded me that I need to continue the series!
