Top Ten Tuesday: Always on My Mind | Book Series I Want to Finish

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
Series I want to Catch Up On/Finish

While I love a good standalone, I'm a sucker for a series. Following a couple, or a cast of characters, getting to know them and the changes in their lives, watching as their relationships and circumstances change over the course of the series... I'm there for it.

But on the flipside, that always means that at any given time I have a lot of in-progress series. Some are already complete and I need to finish them; some are still ongoing and I just need to get caught up.

  4. You need to finish Nine Minutes! That second book is probably my favorite in the series, but all of them are so good!

    1. Deanna - I know, I know! LOL I think the books are even on KU, and I still haven't made it happen. I really need to reread the first book because it's been years.

  5. The only one I've read on here is the ACOTAR books. I've been meaning to try Rayne's, Bennett's and Singh's series though cos I've heard good things about them! I hope you enjoy these books/series whenever you get round to finishing them :)

    1. Dini - I know Sawyer Bennett has a huge backlist but it wasn't until this Pittsburgh Titans series that I was led to try her. Loving this series, though!

  6. I just LOVE the psy changeling books and you also should pick up the novellas as well. They are amazing. She even has some dominant/submissive pairings in those and are super well done. I am always focusing on series to finish haha there are so many good ones out there.

Hope you enjoy these series here and finishing them up.

    1. Renee - I think I have read all of the novellas and bonus stories up to where I am, I just didn't list them (that was a long enough list as it was! lol). I definitely plan to keep up with all the bonus material! :)

Btw, I tried to comment on your new releases post earlier but I'm not sure it went through. I got an error message. And when I tried to comment again it said I couldn't make a duplicate comment. *bangs head against wall* So, not sure if it actually went through, but I tried!

  7. It can be difficult to have several series going on at the same time! Here is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!

    1. Maureen - Many years ago I read SJM's Throne of Glass but it didn't thrill me and I never continued the series. ACOTAR, though... I was hooked! :)

  12. Same! I just love sinking into a compelling book world and getting to know characters over time. Like you, though, I'm stuck in the middle of a bunch of series, probably even more than I actually remember. The struggle is real.

    Happy TTT!

  13. I haven't read any of these, but am definitely interested in Court of Thorns & Roses. I have a bad habit of reading 1 or two in a series and if I have to wait for the next one, it just kind of fades away. I do better when I can binge a completed series. Hope you enjoy the books.

    1. Terrie - Sometimes the wait between books is so long that I forget everything about the previous book(s). That happened with the Outlander series. With years (and ears) between books, I was just no longer invested.

  14. I've only read the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, and I did enjoy A Court of Silver Flames, so hope you will too!

  15. I like companions as there is no pressure to run out and read the follow up to see what happens next, but also lets me slip back into a world I loved. Bennett's series is one I definitely seeing myself continue. I just need to buy the books. LOL

  16. I've read the ACOTAR series. I really loved Silver Flames and Nesta. It's definitely the spiciest of the series, which doesn't mean much either way for me - I just really related to parts of Nesta and kind of fell in love with her journey.

I like series, but I have a hard time keeping up with them so they aren't my favorite thing to start. LOL

  17. Of these, SJM's is the only one I've caught up on. I'm almost ashamed of myself for not being caught up with JLA's since I've always loved them so much.

    1. Alison - I don't know why I've been putting off the JLA book! Maybe because there's no telling when the final book is coming out.

  21. Yes! Psy-Changeling! They only get better, too! Although, I did look up my ratings and Blaze of Memory (book 7) was 3 stars. I think after Kiss of Snow (book 10 Sienna and Hawke's story ) they're all 5 star reads! The overall story arc is exciting too!

    1. Rachel - Hm, that's interesting about Blaze of Memory. Something about that one didn't thrill you as much as the others, obviously.
