Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
The Books *Still* on My TBR...
that I still really want to read
This week's topic is actually about books by debut authors but that wasn't going to work for me. I probably don't have a single debut on my TBR. But what I do have on my TBR are books that have been languishing there for far too long... despite the fact that I really do want to read them!
My criteria was any book that has been on my TBR for at least one year (and that I was still genuinely excited to read). That still left me with plenty to chose from - and some of these have been hanging around for a whole lot longer than a year. *hangs head in shame*
Letters to Molly - Devney Perry
A Court of Silver Flames - Sarah J. Maas
Full Measures - Rebecca Yarros
I Found You - Lisa Jewell
Lessons in Corruption - Giana Darling
The Story of Us - Tara Sivec
No Tomorrow - Carian Cole
The Songbook of Benny Lament - Amy Harmon
Someday, Someday - Emma Scott
The Great Alone - Kristin Hannah
Have you read any of these books?
Letters to Molly! And Full Measures! And The Songbook of Benny Lament! And Someday Someday! Girl, you need to get on those like NOW! (haha) You're going to LOVE them all.
ReplyDeleteI thought I read that Sivec book, but I have not. However, I did just add it to my TBR because it sounds great. I liked the ACOTAR books, and I started The Great Alone as audiobook, but it was too quiet a story. I think I may try to read it at some point. Everyone I know really enjoyed it.
ReplyDeleteI only count physical books because I don't really keep lists elsewhere. I need to do another count but I think I have less than 50 now. It's my goal every year to read them but alas, I do not lol

Ooh I read I Found You- although sadly it wasn't my favorite Lisa Jewell.
ReplyDeleteI have not had the chance to read any of the books on your list but I have had The Great Alone on my shelf for years!
ReplyDeleteI read a couple of these: Letter to Molly and A Court of Silver Flames. But most of the others are on my TBR, too. I am about to start The Great Alone, finally. Hope you enjoy each of them when you pick them up!
ReplyDeleteOne of my goals this year is to focus on those books that have been on my TBR for more than a year and finally read them! Good luck reading yours. :D
ReplyDeleteThe Great Alone was on my list for a long time before I got to it. And I'm so glad I read it. Nice twist on the topic today!
ReplyDeleteFrom your list, I've read and loved The Great Alone and ACOSF. That Lisa Jewell book is still on my TBR as well. It's on my list of high priority reads for this year.
ReplyDeleteI read the book by Lisa Jewell a long time ago, and thought it was ok. I hope you'll enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteI've read A LOT of Kristin Hannah books but for some reason The Great Alone never appealed to me!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy them all! I've read The Great Alone. I loved the nature writing, but the plot got too melodramatic for me at the end.
ReplyDeleteI'm focussed on reading from my TBR a bit more this month, so this post really inspires me. I've had Kristin Hannah on my TBR based sheerly on the hype alone, but I've yet to read any of her books.
ReplyDeleteYeah I am like you, I don't pay attention to debuts hardly. Its super rare for me to read debut books. Mostly because I am just not aware of them and I am more careful about new to me authors even. As I prefer my reading to be with authors and books I know I will really enjoy. I haven't read any of these on your list though. But a few of them are on my TBR.
ReplyDeleteI remember enjoying that Lisa Jewell. I want to try the ACOTAR books too. My daughter loved them!
ReplyDeleteJust ten? I think if I did this one we would be sat here a while as I have a lot of old unread books I'm still interested in but putting off reading. Full Measures is actually the one Rebecca Yarros book I've read and I really enjoyed it. I also still need to continue the ACOTAR series, I just have to be in the right mood to read thos books though and they are long!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these books....and there are several that I would add to my own TBR list, but I'm trying to make my list go down in number, not up. (Thought that hasn't been working too well for me this year.) ;D
ReplyDeleteDamn Tanya I hope you'll read Someday Someday soon!
ReplyDeleteLOL!! I love that we somehow have almost the same topic for this week. I really need to read Sarah Maas. She has been on my list forever!!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these.. my TBR is also extensive.
ReplyDeleteHena - Always too many books and too little time! :)
