Top Ten Tuesday: Summer TBR

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
Summer TBR

We all know that I don't make TBRs. I am 100% a mood reader and never know what I'm
going to read from one book to the next. So TBRs are kind of pointless for me. But I also
love a good list, and making a list of possible summer reads is fun, even if I have zero
expectation of it actually happening. 😉

And since we're doing a summer theme, enjoy a summery 80's tune. 🌞

Ten Books on My Summer TBR

In the Likely Event - Rebecca Yarros
Glimmers of You - Catherine Cowles
Ravensong - TJ Klune
Camden - Sawyer Bennett
Here With Me - Brooke Montgomery
Forbidden Hearts - Corinne Michaels
None of This is True - Lisa Jewell
Grace Note - J. Bengtsson
The Breakaway - Jennifer Weiner
Fourth Wing - Rebecca Yarros

Are any of these books on your TBR?

  2. I don't read a lot of romance, but Here With Me looks good. I wish I didnt have a TBR! It's become its own mountain range. Here's my TTT: https://bonniereadsandwrites.com/2023/06/19/top-ten-tuesday-books-on-my-summer-reading-list/

    2. It was in the movie Blue Crush. Did you ever see that? It's so good maybe you didn't realize it was a cover.

  7. It's a good list! I've got Fourth Wing on my To Read list, though not necessarily for this summer, and I'm hoping to buy several of Cowles' novels for my birthday in August. And I love your choice of songs; Cruel Summer has long been a favorite of mine. :D

  8. Fourth Wing looks interesting; I'm adding it to my TBR list. And I'm a mood reader too—I'll be lucky to read half the books on my official Summer 2023 TBR list before the summer ends!

I need to get caught up on Jewell's books. I was reading her stuff as it came out but I've gotten behind...

  14. I'm on the audio wait list for Fourth Wing but I think it might end up being a fall read instead of a summer read by the time I get to it! Lisa Jewell is perfect summer reading. I need to pick that one up as well. I love that song and its perfect for setting the scene!

  15. Even if you're a mood reader it's nice to have a list to pick from. I'm curious about Fourth Wing. I see so much love for it. I may wait until the next book is out. Hope we both love it!

  16. I rarely stick to my TBR lists either, but I still enjoy making them. It's fun to think about what I MIGHT read, even if I never actually do it. LOL. Enjoy your summer reading, whatever it ends up looking like!

    Happy TTT!

  17. I'm mostly a mood reader too, so I feel you on not creating a list. That being said, I think it is hard to deny the impact that Fourth Wing has had on our book reading community. I'm totally feeling the hype, and fantasy isn't even my preferred genre!

  18. I also don't really stick to TBRs much these days but I still like having a list of options to refer to, even if when doing that I end up saying "Not feeling any of these" and picking something completely different!

  19. Yay for the Catherine Cowles, I can't wait for that one. I can see that about mood reading, its an aspect I don't miss about it. I hope you enjoy Fourth Wing though, everyone seems to be loving it so hope its a win for you.

  20. I'm the same way with TBRs. I love making them, but I'm pretty sure I read 0 of the books on my spring list. I hope you love all these!

  22. SUCH a great song! I was invited to read The Breakaway, but I was scared off by all the mixed reviews. I haven't loved the last few books I've read by her either. But I would love to hear what you think of it! Maybe you'll change my mind. :)

  23. I'm very excited for The Breakway and None of This is True. I hope you love Fourth Wing. That one really lived up to the hype for me!
