Top Ten Tuesday: Spring TBR | 2024

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
Spring TBR

Any time a TTT prompt includes a TBR I giggle my way through compiling the list. I know even as I type the list that it's not likely to happen. I cannot plan what I'm going to read. Kudos to those who make weekly or monthly TBR's and know exactly what they're going to be reading at any given time. But that's not me. I'm 100% a mood reader and I love the feeling of possibility after I finish a book and know that I can choose anything at all to read next... it all depends on what I'm feeling in the moment.

So that being said, take this list with a grain of salt. lol Sure I want to read every book I've
included, but are they actually going to read this spring? No idea! 😁

The Five Year Lie - Sarina Bowen
The One I Left Behind - Piper Rayne
Blitz - Devney Perry
Mind Games - Nora Roberts
Whiskey & Sin - Emily Rath
Mona of the Manor - Armistead Maupin
Boone - Sawyer Bennett
This Could Be Us - Kennedy Ryan

Are any of these books on your TBR?

  2. Heh, that’s how I approach seasonal TBR lists, too.

This Could Be Us sounds good.

Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.

  3. I'm also a mood reader, and beyond the ARCs I'm set to read, it's difficult for me to make a list. But I can say I did enjoy Blitz and I want to read This could be us.

  4. I read an ARC of The Five Year Lie and really enjoyed it. I hope it works out for you as well. I have Blitz sitting on my Kindle waiting to be read once I get a couple of ARCs read.

  5. Thanks for mentioning the Nora Roberts. I put myself on the hold list for the e-book at the library -- I'm in 289th place!

  7. If you do end up picking up Bowen's romantic thriller, I'll be anxious to hear what you think. I'm cautiously optimistic about it.

  11. Yeah, sticking to TBRs is not something I do. I enjoy planning TBRs, but then I go to the library and get whatever random things I want. :)

    1. Aj - I get it! I do not understand people who make a TBR and actually read those books. Crazy!

  12. Looks like a fun bunch! I'm definitely in the mood reading camp -- I can sometimes guess what I might feel like soon... and sometimes I just go completely off the wall. It's fun that way!

  13. I had Before I Let Go on my TBR this TTT and I hope to read it this spring so I can pick up This Could Be Us asap! The covers are so stunning. Also curious about Harmon's & Robert's books. I hope you enjoy all of them 😃

    1. Dini - I hope you will love Before I Let Go when you get to it! I loved those characters and it was such a powerful story.

  14. I cant wait to read Mind Games! I'm becoming a bit more of a mood reader lately. I've learned the hard way that if I ignore the desire to read a particular type of book (or not read one) that equals reading slump!

    1. Katherine - Same for me! I simply cannot force myself to read a book if I'm not in the mood for it. Fingers crossed we will both love Mind Games!
