Top Ten Tuesdays: Books I Want to Re-Read

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
Books I Want to Re-Read

There are some books that I would love to experience again. Maybe because I want to
revisit the characters, maybe the story was particularly impactful, or maybe it evoked a
particular feeling that I would love to recapture. I don't often make time for re-reading,
but if/when I do, these are some of the books I would love to pick up and enjoy all over again.

Keep This Promise - Corinne Michaels
Tied - Carian Cole
Kulti - Mariana Zapata
Cake - J. Bengtsson
We Own Tonight - Corinne Michaels
Tattered Stars - Catherine Cowles
Everything Under the Sun - Jessica Redmerski
Once We Were Starlight - Mia Sheridan
Pucking Around - Emily Rath

Do you re-read favorite books?

  1. I will re-read some old favorites. But I worry that the book may not connect with me in quite the same way it did on the intial read.

    1. Michael - Thankfully I've not had that problem with the few re-reads I have done. But that's always the concern with re-reading, I suppose. Thanks for visiting!

  2. I hope you love rereading all of them!

Here is my Top Ten Tuesday.

  3. I wouldn't mind rereading Tied or Kulti. I loved Cake, but don't feel a pull to it again. All of Cowles's books feel similar to me, so I think I would rather read a new one instead. But that's just me. I listed a bunch of books I have re-read today.

    1. Deanna - I don't know what it was about Cake but it was one of those rare books that hit me in a certain way. I am so attached to all the characters in that series.

    2. I can understand why. I probably don't want to re-read because of the emotions from it. That's my guess.

  4. It's hard to find the time for re-reads, but want to re-read Kulti too!

    1. Sophie - I totally wavered about which one to pick! I'd love to re-read them both.

  7. I rarely re--read books. There are too many new ones I want to read that I don't want to "waste" time on those I've already read. Other than re-reading A CHRISTMAS CAROL every year and re-reads of absolute favorites every few years, I don't bother.

    Happy TTT!

    1. Susan - I tend to feel the same, not wanting to "waste" time on previously read books when there are so many others I want to read. I have to keep reminding myself that any time I spend reading something I enjoy is never time wasted. :)

  8. I am known to not reread (I have only read one of these books), but I can appreciate other people's enjoyment of it.

    1. Sam - I actually wish I made time to re-read more, but it rarely happens. Sometimes I just enjoy the comfort of returning to favorite characters.

  9. It's sad that we never seem to have any time to reread favorite books any more. There are several I own that I'd love to dip into again. If I had more time. Love your list! :D

  10. I used to reread A LOT, but not so much in recent years. It is something I really enjoy, though, so I made it a goal to do it more this year.

  13. I do reread books and I've found that I typically reread romances. I will have to look at this list as I haven't read any of these!
