WWW Wednesday #2 | March 28, 2018

WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
Just answer three questions and share what you're reading.

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?
Well, I say that I'm currently reading this, but the truth is that I've been doing everything but reading for the past week. To give you an idea, I started this one over the weekend and I'm only on page 40. See what I mean? It has nothing to do with the book and everything to do with me just being distracted by a dozen other things.

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?
Um, since I haven't completed anything in the last week, I'm afraid my "recently finished" book hasn't changed. Deja vu, anyone? :)

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL READ NEXT?

Oh geez, no idea. I currently have a library book out - When My Heart Joins the Thousand, a recommendation from Sam at We Live and Breathe Books - but if/when I finish Alex, Approximately I probably won't want to read another YA back to back like that. So something by Sarina Bowen may be the way to go.

What are you currently reading?
I wanna know! :)

  1. Glad I am not the only one struggling with my reading. This last couple of weeks has been terrible. My attention span is that of a gnat. I just finsihed Obsidio, which was great. Currently listening to the Final Six, and planning on starting Runaway Groom tonight. Hopefully I will get energized on my reading again.

    1. Sorry to hear you're in the same boat, Anna. And yes, same with my attention span. I sit down to read, get through maybe 5 pages and then I'm setting the book aside to do something else. Ugh. I'll be happy when this passes. Is Runaway Groom the one by Lauren Layne? Love her! :)

  2. Yes reading has kind of stopped this week for me but I have been listening to audio. Sometimes it is one or the other for me. Hope you enjoy Alex!

    1. Same here with the audio, Grace. I've been listening to What Happened on my commute and that's pretty much the only reading happening.

  3. I do hope you get to finish Alex soon, because it is so delightful! And you cannot go wrong with either of your next on-deck books. Bittersweet is one of the few contemporary romances that got 5-stars from me. I just loved that book, and the whole series in general.

    1. I know, I almost feel bad trying to read it right now when I'm obviously not in a big reading mood. I don't want that to taint my feelings for the book. I'm totally excited for Bittersweet. Sarina Bowen never lets me down.

  4. I look forward to seeing what you think of Alex, Approximately. That one has been on my TBR for a while now.

    1. I've been reading less YA lately but I've been excited for Alex, Approximately. (I think I even pre-ordered it last year.) It seems like just the kind of contemporary YA that I love.

  5. I so relate to not being able to focus on reading! It's me most of the time these days too! Alex, Approximately does look really good, though, so I hope you get back into it soon! Also, When My Heart Joins the Thousand sounds real promising! I hope you love it when you get around to it! <33

    1. Ugh, sorry to hear you're experiencing the same thing, Ruzaika. But I did read a bit more from Alex, Approximately last night (in the bath, actually LOL) and I'm now getting in to it. Hope this passes quickly for us both!

  6. Hopefully you'll be able to get into Alex soon! I like the cover because I want to be in a pool right now. What am I reading... OH! I know! (Took me a second ha.) Brightly Burning, some kind of space-y situation. And I think you're best off not doing two YA contemporaries back to back- I can never do the same genre twice in a row!

    1. Alex joined me in a long hot bath last night (well, that sounds questionable) and I got far enough into it so that I finally feel invested. *fist pump* A space-y situation... that's pretty vague. LOL

  8. I'm currently reading a YA historical novel called Blood Water Paint that is really good! I think I'll be reading some graphic novels for review after this one. BWP is from the library. :)

  9. Distracted reader describes me pretty well lol

I can usually read a book per day but I'm lucky if I get one a week in lately.

    Loved AA though
