Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic:
Favorite Bookish Sites - Book Blogs and More
I'm mixing this week's topic up a bit with a mix of my favorite bookish websites as well as a few of my favorite book bloggers (it was hard to pick just a handful - there are so many more!).
BOOK BLOGGERS
I'm mixing this week's topic up a bit with a mix of my favorite bookish websites as well as a few of my favorite book bloggers (it was hard to pick just a handful - there are so many more!).
BOOK BLOGGERS
I'll swear up and down that this list is in no particular order, but it's also no coincidence that Sam @ We Live and Breathe Books is at the top. 😇 I feel such a kinship with this lady and I try to never miss a single post. She's a master at laying out her thoughts - both pros and cons - in her reviews and when she loves a book you really feel it. Her excitement and emotion is contagious! But more than her reviews, Sam is just an awesome person that I click with which makes her every post and every comment something to look forward to.
Grace @ Rebel Mommy Book Blog is one of the first bloggers I followed. She's always reading something I want to read, have already read, or am just interested to know more about. I love her concise reviews, her gorgeous blog aesthetic, and her friendly nature.
Lindsi @ Do You Dog-Ear is a somewhat newer find but I connected right away with her humor and her casual, chatty style of reviewing. With her mix of romance, YA, children's books, and comics, there's always something interesting on Lindsi's blog.
When I went looking for blogs that focus exclusively on adult titles, I was excited to find Jenea's Book Obsession. With a mix of women's fiction, romance and mystery-thrillers, Jenea's blog is heavy on reviews (which I love!) and she's been responsible for more than a few additions to my TBR.
I don't even share similar reading tastes as Olivia @ Books in Blankets but that's never been an issue. Somehow, regardless of the lack of shared books, I always enjoy her reviews of sci-fi, fantasy, literary fiction, and more. And the fact that she occasionally shares photos of what she cooks is a bonus!
I really enjoy the eclectic mix of posts from Karen @ For What It's Worth. There's plenty of book talk and book reviews, but there's so much more. Karen talks about movies and music and participates in fun weekly memes that give her blog a well-rounded feel.
BOOKISH SITES
GoodReads is a no-brainer, right? But even if it seems like an obvious choice, there's no denying the role GoodReads plays in my reading life. From keeping track of my TBR, to sharing reviews, to checking the ratings/reviews of books I'm interested in, and sooo much more, GoodReads is an invaluable resource.
I've used Fantastic Fiction for many years as a comprehensive resource for author bibliographies. At a glance I can see an author's entire catalog, see when their books were published, check the order of book in a series, and more.
The launch of OverDrive opened up a whole new avenue of reading and listening options. I love the convenience of downloading digital content from my library.
While there are several BookTubers I follow on YouTube, there is one that stands out above the rest for me. Jessica @ PeaceLoveBooksxo focuses almost exclusively on romance books (adult, new adult, contemporary, historical) and she uploads content frequently. Reviews, recommendations, TBR's, monthly wrap-ups, reading vlogs... Jessica has it all and is so down to earth and casual that watching her videos is like chatting about books with a friend.
Do you follow any of these bloggers or use these bookish sites?
Aww thank you lady❤ love stopping by your blog all the time. And agree with the blogs you listed here. They are great!
ReplyDeleteIt's been fun seeing bloggers share the love this week. :)
DeleteFun list, and I love many of these bloggers too.

I love the idea of recognizing other bloggers. :)
DeleteThanks so much for the mention {hugs}
ReplyDeleteI follow most of these and will check out the one that I don't.
We don't have Overdrive at our library but I was talking to them at ALA and it seems the county over from us does and will allow me to get a card even if it's not my county. Then I can use Overdrive!
Karen @ For What It's Worth
Wouldn't be a list without mentioning you! :)
DeleteThat's awesome that you'll be able to use the Overdrive service in the next county! I find that I use it quite a lot.
I use GoodReads, but half the time I forget to update my reading list.
ReplyDeleteHa. I'm practically obsessive about keeping GoodReads updated. :)
DeleteYes, all of those bloggers are wonderful. I couldn’t live without Overdrive. I use it every day to listen to my audiobooks. I am constantly checking out new stuff to listen to. Goodreads is also my go to spot to check reviews.
ReplyDeleteOverdrive is awesome! It makes reading and listening so convenient.
DeleteHow could I forget about goodreads?!? I totally spaced out on that one and didn't include it at all! Great list you have!
ReplyDeleteNooo! Don't forget GoodReads! It's just such a constant that maybe it's easy to forget. :)
DeleteI need to wipe my happy tears. I am so touched, and how funny that you were the first blog I (randomly) listed too. I love that we have so many blogs in common. Goodreads sort of owns me. I was so mad when the site got blocked at my job, because I used to be able to tool around on there in my downtime. --sigh--
ReplyDeleteAw, now you're going to get me weepy. :) I got such a smile when I saw last night that I was on your list, too. (And the first one listed. LOL) I just haven't had a chance to comment yet... Mom came over for dinner last night and we got sucked in watching CoHo book reviews on YouTube. LOL
DeleteBlocked from GoodReads??!!! Gaaahhhh! Oh my gosh, that's tragic. I'm on there several times a day looking stuff up so that would suck. Boo.
I love these people too! I love how Sam lays out her review and Karen is just one of my favorite human beings!
ReplyDeleteAw, I love hearing that! They're both awesome... and the book community is just full of great people. :)
DeleteThank you so much for mentioning me, it means a lot and made me smile. I will now check out those I don’t know yet. Thank you for the list. I always enjoy your blog, even though, as you said, we don’t really read the same genre. But I’ve got one Colleen Hoover book under my belt now!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you for including me in your list!!! I saw that last night but just haven't had a chance to comment yet (my Mom was over so there went my computer time). I like how it doesn't necessarily take a love of the exact same books to forge a connection.

ReplyDeleteHa! You've put some new bloggers on my radar - I'll have to check them out. :) I'll also have to check out Fantastic Fiction. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you find some new favorites to follow! :)
DeleteLots of awesome blogs (and I know all but one! yeay!) but I hang my head in shame for I only know goodreads from the other bookish sites...
ReplyDeleteGoodReads is definitely that most well-known one. OverDrive might even be U.S. only since it's tied to the library system.
DeleteI'm totally listening to an overdrive audiobook right now as I read your post. :)
ReplyDeleteHooray for OverDrive!! :)
DeleteGreat list! Many of these bloggers are faves of mine as well :)
ReplyDeleteI’ve loved seeing everyone’s lists this week. :)
