Blogger rolled out their new interface this morning and so far I'm... undecided. Aesthetically it's pleasing, but in practical terms I guess it will take some getting used to. For those that switched over earlier, what do you think?

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

Currently reading: I'm really enjoying Want You to Want Me. And I'm especially loving this slow burn between Nolan and Gabi. Sixty percent in and there hasn't even been a real kiss yet. But the chemistry/tension is off the charts so when it finally happens it's going to be good. :)
Current progress: 60%

Currently listening: I've been low-key interested by Sierra Simone's New Camelot trilogy since it first released a couple years ago. I read some good reviews at the time and when I was browsing Hoopla the other day I saw they had American Queen on audio. I'm kind of over the flashbacks and really want the story to move forward at this point, but I'm really intrigued about what's to come.
Current progress: 16%

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?
If possible, Soulless was even darker and grittier than the previous books in the King series. And I ate it up. While I didn't connect with Bear and Thia quite as much as I did with Doe and King, I was still fully invested in where the story went and it was seriously one wild ride. And that jaw-dropping ending definitely has me ready to continue the series.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL READ NEXT?

No idea what's up next. I might start the next book in the King series, All the Rage, but I could just as easily pick up something light and fluffy. It all depends on how I feel at the time. #moodreader

What are you currently reading?
I wanna know! :)

  1. Ugh, I'm scared to try out this new Blogger interface! I tried it for about 5 minutes last month, and it just wasn't as intuitive. American Queen sounds intriguing!

  2. Yeah I'm undecided too about the new interface. It looks sleek but there are some aspects like adding images that seem more tedious than the old one.

The Lorelei James book cover is so pretty! I'm glad you're enjoying it. I've tried Sierra Simone's books and she's not for me unfortunately. I know a lot of readers are big fans though. Hope it picks up for you.

    1. Yep, I noticed the same thing, Nick. A few things seem not as simple but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

This is my first by Sierra Simone and I'm still on the fence. It's still early on, though, so I'm going to stick with it.

    1. I hope so, too, Alison. It's my first by Simone so I'm still getting used to her style.

  4. I felt the same way about Nolan and Gabi's relationship. I loved how it was so slow burn, yet didn't feel that way.

    1. Yes! :) I like the way they haven't just dove right in but they've texted and become friendly first. So cute!

  5. I'm not a fan of the change so far, but I'm sure it will improve over time. There's just the inherent shock of changing something that I've used for 8 years now. It will take time haha.

    1. Exactly. I'm sure I'll get used to it but I'm usually resistant to change and slow to come around. :)

  6. At first I thought they took away functionality, but they really only moved it. Once I found everything, it was easy to draft my posts. I think you will be ok. I read the first book in that James series, so happy to hear you are enjoying the new one. I definitely plan on continuing the series.

    1. The first in the series was the first one I'd read by James and I liked her style right away. And this one is no different. :)

    1. I remember seeing American Queen around when it first released and I was intrigued but I guess never enough to actually get it. LOL Until now, anyway. I'm not positive audio was the way to go because the narrator sometimes comes off sounding like a little girl but I'm getting used to it.

  8. I LOVE the New Camelot Trilogy, its so unique and different and hope you love it. Very curious to see your thoughts on it.

I haven't been on blogger in a long time, but I know many bloggers have struggled with the new interface...just like wordpress users have struggled with the new editor that they have. I think its just a matter of getting used to a new system that works and look completely different. But I would try using it more now rather than later because my understanding is you won't be able to switch when they take the old interface away.

Hope you have a great week!!

    1. I'm eager to get further into American Queen and see what I think. I feel like things are still being set up now so I have't really got into the meat of the story yet.

I always resist change so I'm sure it'll just take a little time for me to adjust to the new Blogger interface. LOL

  9. I tried the new interface and went back to the old. I hate the new one. There's more steps to set up a post, IMO. That's not an improvement.

Glad you're enjoying Want You to Want Me!

    1. So far I tend to agree, Rachel. It's different - but not better. But I guess I better start getting used to it. Ugh.

  10. I don't use blogger but I thought I was going to lose my mind when Wordpress introduced their new block editor. It was so different and wasn't at all user friendly. Hopefully the blogger experience will be better.

    1. Yep, I've seen several people mention that the switchover at WP was pretty clunky. Hopefully I'll get used to the Blogger changes soon.

    1. I really enjoyed Soulless - and the rest of the series. They can be dark, and kind of over the top, but I'm so hooked.

  13. I tried it a few months ago but went back lol I hate change. It is pretty but not exactly user friendly to me.

I'm still listening to Boyfriend Material.

  15. Want You to Want Me sounds great! I love the sweet torture of a slow burn romance. I really need to read something by T.M. Frazier. I haven't tried the new blogger interface yet.

    1. It's a LONG audio book (over 12 hours) and I'm only about 4 hours in so I feel like I'm still getting into it. I wish we would move past the flashbacks and get to the present story!
