Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic:
Rainbow Edition: Books with Colors in the Titles
For some reason I assumed this week's topic would be a breeze. So color me (see what I did there?) surprised when I had to dig deep into my GoodReads shelf to find ten books I've read with a color in the title. We're talking very deep... like, I had gone through so many pages in my Read shelf that I was all the back to 2008. But I did find 10 of them so I win. :)
Have you read any of these books?
Red, White, and Royal Blue is pure fun! Love that book (and am dying for her next one!) Great list!
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday
Totally agree, Anna! I can't wait to see what McQuiston delivers next!
DeleteOh, wonder what a White Hot kiss is like. https://pmprescott.blogspot.com/2020/08/ttt-080420.html
ReplyDeleteIt was the first in a trilogy that I really loved. :)
DeleteRed, White, and Royal Blue is super cute.
ReplyDeleteThe cover is cute and so is the story inside. :)
DeleteCool finds. I honestly don't think I've read any books with a color in the title. Unless I forgot.
ReplyDeleteIt definitely took me a lot of searching to come up with 10. Some I had forgot about.
DeleteGreat list! Written in Red and Red, White & Royal Blue both made my list this week, too--I definitely didn't find this topic as easy as I assumed it would be either!
ReplyDeleteThis one sounded deceptively simple... but really wasn't! :)
DeleteRed, White & Royal Blue made my list, too! I think getting three colors in one title is pretty rare!
ReplyDeleteWe deserve bonus points for that one! :)
DeleteWritten in Red has such a great cover.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT .
Great cover and a great story. :)
DeleteThe topic was hard for me so I didn't do it - haha! But you guys are all doing amazing!!
ReplyDeleteIt was tougher than I thought it would be, Nick! :)
DeleteGreat list! I also totally underestimated the ease of today's prompt because... I couldn't even come up with 10 books even after diving deep into my Goodreads lists?! Tragic. Haha
ReplyDeleteI know! I thought this one would be so easy but I actually had a hard time with it.
DeleteRed at Night is a book I have had forever. Why is it not read?
ReplyDeleteI loved Red at Night. Even though it was just a short novella, I was still invested in Stella and Jonah's story.
DeleteI haven't read any of these, but Written in Red sounds interesting. Here is our Top Ten Tuesday
ReplyDeleteWritten in Red was the beginning of a great series!
DeleteThis was a bit challenging, right? I ended up typing in a color in the search space of my shelves and that's how I came up with mine. I didn't type in pink though. I'm not sure if I have any with pink. Great list here! I loved Written in Red.
ReplyDeleteHa! I ended up doing the same, Rachel! Going through page after page was taking forever so I just searched my shelves for certain colors. :) Great minds think alike. Written in Red is one of my favorites!
DeleteRed White and Royal Blue! How did I forget that had colours in the title? And When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit, that book was one of my favourites when I was at primary school, it always makes me smile when I see it.
ReplyDeleteHi Becky! Good to see you! I read When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit as a child and that was probably 40 years ago. Ack! Now I'm curious just how old the book is. Off to check that out... :)
DeleteRed, White, & Royal Blue showed up on my list, too!
ReplyDeleteIt was one of the first ones that came to me... and I wasn't alone in that apparently. :)
DeleteI've only read Red, White, and Royal Blue from your list. But yeah, I think I'd have a tough time with this topic too. I can't think of that many books with a color in the title...that I've read.

I apparently don't read that many because it took a lot of searching. :)
DeleteOoo! I wish I would have thought of Sugar & Gold! Unique color AND great book!
ReplyDeleteSugar & Gold was the first book I read from Emma Scott and it really made an impression on me.
DeleteGreat list of books this week!
ReplyDeleteHere's my TTT list this week!
Thanks Lectrice :)
DeleteAhaha, Red, White & Royal Blue was on my list too! I haven't read it yet, but it sounds so good.
ReplyDeleteRed, White & Royal Blue was a lot of fun. I adored Henry and Alex. :)
DeleteWell, I've read 4 out of the 10 and I'm hoping to start Written in Red this week. I've seen a few people say they had to dig for 10 when they expected it to be easier.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you think of Written in Red. That book introduced me to a set characters that I grew to love so much.
DeleteI don't know what it says about me that the only one I have read on your list is FSOG. LOL Although I do have Red White and Blue on my TBR. I have so many colors in my goodreads listings...I could name hundreds of books hehe
ReplyDeleteSo either you have a thing for colors in titles or you have a really huge TBR. LOL
DeleteHaha nice pun. :) I like Black Dawn a lot. The Bishop one is nice too.
ReplyDeleteI really like all the cover from that Anne Bishop series.
Deleteso many pretties
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental
Thanks Sherry :)
DeleteI had trouble with this post too, but I gave up and decided to do a TBR post - haha! I've seen Written in Red on a few lists, it sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteMy TTT
That's one way around a tricky topic... just switch it. :)
DeleteWritten in Red is one of my favorites!
Funny, I was up to my ears in color titles this week! Glad you were able to nail the challenge after all.
ReplyDeleteI don't know any of these but Beige piques my interest. It's definitely too old to be at my local libraries anymore but it looks very much like the kind of thing I would have swiped while shelf browsing 10 years ago.
I hope you can find Beige somewhere. It's been so long since I read it that I don't remember details but I do recall enjoying it.
DeleteRed, White, and Royal Blue is such a great read. I can't wait to read more from that author. I ended up using my TBR to come up with 10 titles with colors so I hear you on this being more challenging than expected.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what McQuiston delivers next!
DeleteThis topic was definitely more tricky than I expected too :)
ReplyDeleteLoved Written in Red and Red White and Royal Blue!
Written in Red was such a great start to the Others series.
DeleteI passed on this week's topic because my mind went completely blank!
ReplyDeleteI've only read Fifty Shades and White Hot Kiss from this list. :(
It was a tougher topic than I thought it would be!
DeleteI want to slap myslef for not thinking of FSOG!!! Duh! LOL
ReplyDeleteLOL I wouldn't have thought of it if I hadn't been scanning my Read shelf on GR!
DeleteI have read Fifty Shades, but not the sequels. The only other one I have read is Written in Read.
ReplyDeleteWritten in Red is such a favorite of mine.
