The Sunday Post #327 | March 5, 2023

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news: a post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books,
and share what's coming up on your blog in the week ahead.

THE WEEK IN REVIEW

This was the week of major network issues at office. All. Week. Long. The problems seem to be centered on MS OneDrive and our IT department is working crazy hours trying to resolve the issue. It made for some frustrating and unproductive days. My fingers are crossed that it's fixed by the time I head back to the office Monday morning.

Despite all the work headaches, Tuesday was a bright spot because I received some fun book mail! I was lucky enough to win Lindsey's (Lindsey Reads) blogoversary giveaway and the book I chose arrived. Catherine Cowles has become a real favorite over the last year and I am so happy so have a physical copy of Tattered Stars for my shelf. Thank you again, Lindsey! :)

For some feel-good content this week I'm sharing this IG post. I was struck by this otherwise stoic man cuddling the rescued cat. There's no telling what horrors he has seen as a rescue worker, so to see him care for the cat and smile... it warmed my heart.

This week's throwback song is Praying for Time (1990) by George Michael. Enjoy!

  3. I know there is some Microsoft rollout we were told to prep for. I wonder if that was related to the your work issues. Regardless, never fun. Congratulations on your book win. Always a nice treat. Look at you devouring the Titians books. I am far behind you but enjoying the series.

  4. oh my goodness....that random pic so so true for workplaces! Why can't everyone just do what they need to do and then it would be more fair for everyone. haha Looks like you had a good time with those Corinne Michaels. I hope work is better for you this week!

    1. Renee - Right? Why can't everyone do their job? But there are always the slackers. Or the ones who do little and then take credit for it all. I guess there will always be those who just want to skate by doing as little as possible.

  6. Yuk to network issues. We depend on technology so much and it's so frustrating when it doesn't work right. I love that George Michael song, but I haven't heard it in such a long time. Thanks! And hey, I used to work with those guys in that Meme!

    1. Wendy - So true, we totally depend on technology and things come to a screeching halt when it isn't working. Thankfully I'm back in business since yesterday! I miss George Michael. He is one of my favorite artists ever (that voice) and he was gone far too young.

  27. IT problems are the worst. We're having weird issues this week and can't send outgoing emails to any gmail addresses. It's so random. Love the George Michael throwback song!

  28. Is there anything worse than a work day with IT issues? You can't leave but you also can't seem to get anything done either so it just feels like a wasted day. Hopefully they've managed to resolve things now. Ugh, every time I see The New Guy I cringe at that cover, but I do need to catch up on reading some Sarina Bowen books and see if it's better than the cover.
