Top Ten Tuesday: Favorite Forced Proximity Romances

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
Forced Proximity Romances

This week's prompt is actually a genre freebie, but I decided to go with a specific trope instead. For those who don't read romance, Forced Proximity is when the main characters are forced to spend time together - usually not of their choosing - which gives then the time and space to develop a relationship and fall in love. Forced proximity can actually overlap with several other tropes, like: office romance, marriage of convenience, nanny romance, only one bed, etc.

Here are some of my forced proximity favorites...

Have you read any of these books?

  7. I don't read a ton of romance, as you know, but I definitely think The Charm Offensive would fall into this category. It probably works as both a forced proximity and enemies to lovers.

  22. I haven't read any of these, but there's forced proximity in the most recent season of Heartstopper on Netflix. It made me laugh because my high school would NEVER let teens share hotel beds on a school trip. It seems like it could end in pregnancy or STDs.
