The Currently Reading Tag

I saw Jessica at Reading with Jessica do this tag and decided to play along.

HOW MANY BOOKS DO YOU READ AT ONCE?

One or two. And if it's two, the second book is an audio book. For some reason I can read one and listen to one with no problem, but reading more than one at a time is a no-go.

IF YOU'RE READING MORE THAN ONE BOOK AT A TIME, HOW DO YOU DECIDE WHEN TO SWITCH BOOKS (DO YOU READ A CERTAIN NUMBER OF PAGES IN EACH)?

This one is easy. I only listen to an audio book while in the car - usually on my daily commute to/from the office. Otherwise I'm reading my physical/ebook.

 THROUGH A BOOK?

Nope. Can't think of why I would.

WHERE DO YOU KEEP THE BOOK YOU'RE
 CURRENTLY READING?

Typically it's always within reach, no matter where I am. Whether I'm reading a physical book or on my phone/iPad/Kindle, it's always on my person or within reach (desk, purse, etc).

WHAT TIME OF DAY DO YOU SPEND THE
 MOST TIME READING?

Mostly in the evenings but also whenever I can snag a few minutes. Sometimes during lunch, while waiting at an appointment, sitting in traffic, the bath... I'm always prepared with my book to read whenever/wherever.

HOW LONG DO YOU TYPICALLY READ
 AT A ONE SITTING?

Not that long, really. Thirty minutes, maybe an hour. I'm always amazed when I hear someone say "I read the book in one sitting." I can't do that. I get antsy, my attention wanders, I have other things to do... whatever the reason, I rarely sit and read for more than an hour at a time.

DO YOU READ HARDCOVERS WITH THE
 DUST JACKET ON OR OFF?

If I'm reading a hardcover, the dust jacket comes off and stays on the shelf so it doesn't get worn/damaged. Also, it's just easier to hold the book with the dust jacket off.

WHICH POSITION DO YOU MAINLY USE TO READ?

I'm guessing this means where do I read?? Let's go with that. Most of my reading is done either in my uber-comfy recliner in the library (although the side effect of said uber-comfy recliner is that I sometimes fall asleep, but I'm not complaining) or in "my corner" of the sofa. (Do you find the people in your home have "their spots" where they sit? I totally do.) One place I never read: the bed. I've never found it comfortable to read in bed.

Always.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU UPDATE YOUR READING
 PROGRESS ON GOODREADS?

Not constantly but not just when I start and finish, either. I update after I've read a sizable chunk or after a particularly dramatic/funny/emotional scene and I have something to say about it.
