Happy Friday, friends! For those that celebrate Thanksgiving, I hope you had a wonderful, safe holiday with family and friends. And now that your turkey coma is over, you know what that means: Black Friday.
Are you a Black Friday shopper? Are you up at the crack of dawn hitting the earliest sales? Maybe even shopped on Thanksgiving Day? Or are you like me, and avoid the whole spectacle? Because the fact is there is absolutely nothing I want or need badly enough to deal with the traffic, the parking, and the crowds (OMG the crowds *shudder*). No thank you. I would rather pay full price and stay at home away than deal with the madness. 😉
No matter what your plans are today - shopping, hibernating, or working (for your sake, I hope it's not in retail!) - a new book makes any day better! So I am giving away ONE BOOK OF THE WINNER'S CHOICE UP TO $15 (USD). This is open internationally as long as The Book Depository ships to your country. (If in the U.S., your book will likely come from Amazon in order to expedite shipping.)
* CLOSED - WINNER CHOSEN *
This week has been insanely busy and I didn't have time to set up a Rafflecopter giveaway. So we're going old school and keeping this super simple. All you have to do to enter is leave a comment. You can share what book you might want. You can tweet about the giveaway and leave the link in your comment. You can tell me about your Thanksgiving or just say hi. A winner will be chosen from the comments using Random.org. Giveaway runs from 12:01 am on November 29 until 12:01 am on December 2.
And be sure to visit the other blogs participating in the giveaway!
Thank you for hosting. I would probaby choose one of the many ebooks from Amazon on my wishlist. We did not celebrate Thanksgiving this year. My husband has the stomach bug and we ended up having soup. I hope you and yours had a lovely day!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We did a small Thanksgiving meal with our two teenagers and then I had to take my son to work in the afternoon. He works at Walmart and it was crazy there her said. Today when I took him was no different. We do most of our shopping online because I am not a crowd type person.

We don't have Thanksgiving in Ireland but we do have Black Friday, when I avoid town like the plague! I'm reading my way through Jeffrey Deaver's Lincoln Rhyme series (The Bone Collector etc.) & am missing 2. Or anything by Harlan Coben!

ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays everyone...We had a low key Thanksgiving because we had a few sick family members and the weather has been yucky. I'm wanting to read The Cruel Prince by Holly Black. I hear it's good.

Thanks for the giveaway! I worked overnight at the hospital, but it was nice to work with a good crew!
ReplyDeleteI no longer can deal with the craziness of Black Friday deals! I love the prices but the sacrifice to my body and brain is o longer worth it to me to go out and shop the ads.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy the remaining, wonderful, Holiday Season!
Thank you for the chance, Tanya! I can't speak for Thanksgiving, because we obviously don't celebrate it, but Black Friday has been becoming more and more popular, with more stores doing it each year. Still, I don't think it's as crazy as in the US, but even so, I wouldn't set my foot into any of the big supermarkets during Black Friday, haha. I do, however, got some good online deals for some Christmas presents and a super-cute short for myself which is not season-appropriate AT ALL, but it was such a good deal, haha.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to have the book Lord of the Butterflies
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance. We have a few books on our wishlist right now.

ReplyDeleteOur Thanksgiving was low key this year, just me and my husband. Snuck the dogs some turkey, so they were happy! lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely giveaway, Tanya! Thank you. I try at all costs to stay away from physical shopping after Thanksgiving. Everything is online except for the grocery store! I totally agree, the parking, lines and whatnot aren't worth the savings, IMO. Hope you're having a relaxing holiday! :)
ReplyDeleteI avoid the mall and surrounding area at all costs on Thanksgiving Day and Black Friday. I don't know what book I would like to win.
ReplyDeleteI stay FAR away from the stores during Black Friday! I would probably choose a J.R. Ward book if I won! Thanks for the chance!
