Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
Books from Previous TBRs...
that are Still on my TBR
Going back through previous TBRs that I've shared on the blog (whether seasonal TBRs,
most anticipated TBRs, or "books I never got to" TBRs), I was actually surprised
at how many I've since read. Go me! There were also a few that I've since lost
interest in. But there were certainly plenty that are still languishing on my
TBR that I really do still want to read.
YOU'RE STILL THE ONE:
BOOKS STILL ON MY TBR
The Song Book of Benny Lament - Amy Harmon
No Tomorrow - Carian Cole
The Brightest Night - Jennifer L. Armentrout
All I Ask - Corinne Michaels
A Court of Silver Flames - Sarah J. Maas
The Highland Fling - Meghan Quinn
The Last Piece of His Heart - Emma Scott
Don't Kiss the Bride - Carian Cole
The Sinner - Emma Scott
The Great Alone - Kristin Hannah
Have you read any of these books?
I hope you love all of these books whenever you might read them. :)
ReplyDeleteMy post: https://lydiaschoch.com/top-ten-tuesday-books-from-my-past-seasonal-tbr-posts-i-still-havent-read/
Thanks Lydia!
DeleteYes, it's hard to let go of books!
ReplyDeleteAnd "Still the One" is the song for my husband and me!
Deb - It's such a great song. My parents loved it and we played it at my father's service. It's definitely special to me. :)
DeleteAhh, one of my favorite songs! I sing it to my husband every time we hear it in the car. The Great Alone was actually one Kristin Hannah book I skipped, but The Highland Fling was a great read!
ReplyDeleteAngela - So many people seem to have a connection to that song. I love that. :) I have The Great Alone and The Four Winds by Kristen Hannah that I've been putting off. Both seem so bleak. But I'm still excited for The Highland Fling!
DeleteOmg, The Songbook of Benny Lament 🙈 I remember when I added that to all my 'possibility piles' for a few months straight and yet... It's still unread! Argh... Haha. I hope you enjoy all these books whenever you get around to them (if you ever do)! 😉
ReplyDeleteDini - And Amy Harmon is one of my favorites so I have zero explanation for why it's still unread. LOL
DeleteI hope you enjoy them all! I loved the beginning of The Great Alone, but the end got a bit melodramatic for my tastes. :)
ReplyDeleteAj - I've been putting off both The Great Alone and The Four Winds because they sound quite grim.
DeleteAj - I've got my fingers crossed that it will work for me.
DeleteHurry up with Harmon's and Quinn's already. ;) I haven't read those Scott books either.
ReplyDeleteDeanna - I'll get right on that! lol
DeleteI've heard great things about The Great Alone, I hope you enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday. Thank you!
Thanks Aymee, me too! :)
DeleteI don't keep virtual TBR's so I only count every unread book in my house (My kindle is pretty much up to date) and I think I have 50-ish? I haven't counted in a long time. I finally read at least two that had been sitting there for almost two years but I have older ones.
ReplyDeleteIt's only so low because I had tog et rid of so many for the big move 3 years ago.
Karen @For What It's Worth
Karen: I think it's interesting how TBRs are so personal and everyone uses them in a different way. Like my GR to-read shelf isn't a true TBR. Often I use it to just keep track of books that I want to keep on my radar and not forget.
DeleteI love how you find songs that I loved when I was younger, but haven't heard in years!! Now I'll be humming "You're Still the One" all day! (probably longer!). I am listening to The Great Alone now, and it's excellent so far.
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks for that, Wendy! Music has always been a big part of my life so I add it to my posts often. Thanks for sharing that about The Great Alone!
DeleteI tried to read The Highland Fling last month but I didn't make it to the end; I found Bonnie too dumb, and therefore too annoying, to keep reading. But I was not in a great mood that week, so that might have colored my view.
ReplyDeleteLark - That's too bad about The Highland Fling. Every book isn't going to appeal to everyone, obviously. Or maybe it was your reading mood. Hopefully I'll enjoy it more! :)
DeleteI've read and enjoyed A Court of Silver Flames so I'd definitely recommend that one :) Hope you'll enjoy all of these when you get to them!
ReplyDeleteLindsey - I've put off A Court of Silver Flames for over a year now because of Nesta. It's hard to make myself read a big chunky book about a character I've never liked. =/
DeleteI've not read any of these, but I hope you enjoy them all whenever you read them.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT: https://jjbookblog.wordpress.com/2022/07/26/top-ten-tuesday-378/
Thanks! :)
DeleteI love that Orleans song! Such a happy song. You get the award for my favorite post of the day. :)
ReplyDeleteAnyways... books. The Maas books are big n my house right now. :) Everyone but me seems to be reading them. hahahaha
Well thanks for that Greg... I'll take it! :) Gotta love some Orleans.
DeleteI have read (and loved) ACOSF and The Songbook of Benny Lament!
ReplyDeleteSophie - I need to get over my feelings about Nesta and just read ACOSF!
DeleteNow you got that song stuck in my head haha! And I absolutely loved The Brightest Night but it ended on a cliffhanger. I'm trying to be patient until the final book comes out but it's taking forever *cries*. I can't wait to hear your thoughts on that one!
ReplyDeleteJen - It's been a long time since The Brightest Night released (almost 2 years) and I'm wondering when we'll get book #4. I know JLA said a while ago that she delayed it because the storyline was eerily close to what was happening with the pandemic. Maybe this year, though? Either way, I'll probably need to read some spoiler reviews of The Burning Shadow to remember what happened before I dive into The Brightest Night!
DeleteThe last book, The Fevered Winter, is set to come out either the end of 2022 or early 2023 is what we have been told. I'm on her arc team so I'm just patently waiting for any news in our group eeps! But yeah, she had to change the way the story was going - it was supposed to be 2 more books - because of how close it was to the pandemic. I have a feeling I've forgotten all of the tiny details and probably will need to binge read the previous books *covers face*.
DeleteOMG, Tanya! So, last week, I was reading the Kerry Winfrey book, and they kept brining up the Shania Twain "You're Still the One", but I could only get the one above in my head. Needless to say, it's been running through my brain since then. So catchy! Anyhow, I started The Great Alone on audio which was a mistake for me because it was sort of slow and quiet. I keep meaning to try the book. There's too many raves from people I know for it to all be hype. I loved the Quinn book. It was hilarious and touching.
ReplyDeleteSam - How crazy is that! I love when stuff like that happens. It gives me a feeling of rightness. Some authors I'll read on audio, and some I insist on reading myself. Kristin Hannah is one that I will read on Kindle (or physical book). I just need to get in the right mood for it now.
DeleteThe only one I have read is The Great Alone and I did enjoy it. I also have Benny Lament on my TBR, so thanks for the nudge. I hope you enjoy these when you get to them, Tanya.
ReplyDeleteCarla - I feel like I need to ready myself for The Great Alone. Shore up my emotional defenses. lol
DeleteI have The Songbook of Benny Lament on my TBR. Eventually, I'll get around to it.
ReplyDeletePam @ Read! Bake! Create!
https://readbakecreate.com/books-i-still-need-to-read-from-previous-tbr/
Pam - I love Amy Harmon so I have high hopes for that one.
DeleteI loved The Great Alone and ACOSF! That Meghan Quinn book is still on my TBR too.
ReplyDeleteSuzanne - I really need to pick up ACOSF. But I've never liked Nesta so I keep putting it off... ack!
DeleteI haven't read any of these books either. The Sarah Maas book has also been on my TBR for a long time. Sometimes I think that book will stay on there forever. :)
ReplyDeleteMaureen - I know what you mean. I even preordered A Court of Silver Flames and there it still sits.
DeleteI haven't read any of these. I don't think that I will ever come close to catching up with my tbr.
ReplyDeleteSame here, Carole. :)
DeleteYou definitely can't miss THE GREAT ALONE! It's excellent. BENNY LAMENT is one I need to get to as well. I checked it out from the library a few months ago and just couldn't get to it before it came due. Hopefully, I can check it out again soon.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Thanks Susan! Hopefully we'll both love The Song Book of Benny Lament.
DeleteHa! There are so many here that are still on my TBR, too. Hope you get to them all at some point and that you enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteThanks Alison! Hopefully there will be some new favorites in there.
DeleteOooh, love that song! I read The Highland Fling (my first Quinn book) a few months ago and loved it. The Great Alone is one I want to read, as well. I hope you get to some of these soon!
ReplyDeleteDedra - As much as I enjoy Meghan Quinn, I can't believe I haven't read The Highland Fling yet!
DeleteI still need to read The Highland Fling and A Court of Silver Flames
ReplyDeleteCarrie - I've been putting off ACOSF because Nesta. Ugh. But I'm sure I'll get to it eventually.
DeleteI hope you enjoy all of these when you read them. :D Thanks for stopping by my TTT.
ReplyDeleteMe, too, thanks Jenni! :)
DeleteYeessss, I can't wait for you to read ACOSF. I'm rly curious what you'll think. Not gonna say anything but, GIIIIRRRLLLLLL.
ReplyDeleteEsther - I need to really commit to making that happen! Everyone tells me that ACOSF will change my mind about Nesta!
DeleteI do think it will! I loved her so much after this book!
