Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
Nice To Meet You | New-To-Me Authors
I Discovered in 2022
This week's topic is authors that were new to me in 2022. I read over eighteen new-to-me authors in 2022 and while some of them barely made a blip on the radar, a couple became new favorites.
In order to come up with ten, I had to include a couple that were... not necessarily favorites. In the spirit of playing nice, I won't say which those are, but I have noted the real stand-outs. 😊
Catherine Cowles (new favorite!)
Mariana Zapata (new favorite!)
Have you read any of these authors?
Sandra Brown is one of those authors who I've always taken note of, but never read. This is a great challenge!
ReplyDeleteOff topic, but have you noticed that Bloglovin seems to be permanently on the fritz now? I was using it to keep up with everyone, but not it seems I need to find a new way.
I have When in Rome on my list so I hope to discover that author soon.
ReplyDeleteI did read less new authors in 2022, but it was still a good amount (128). I am a huge Bennett fan, so I am glad to see she made your list. I have read three from Adams - all fun and cute, my speed. I have the Dawes and Cowles books and do hope to sample their work.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these, but I think I have Catherine Cowles on my TBR!
ReplyDeleteCowles was a new-to-me author in 2022 too! I'm keen to read Singh and Bennett and both are new-to-me as well :) Great list!
ReplyDeleteI haven’t read any of these books, but I’m glad you liked them so much!

I don't know if I want to know who wouldn't have made this list if you had others to add... I love Zapata and Adams. I'm also a fan of Daws' Wait with Me series, but I tried the one you have here and couldn't get into the first book. I want to read that Bennett series because I've enjoyed others of hers. And Cowles is on my TBR for this year. Nice list!
ReplyDeleteI was reading Sandra Brown books 25 years ago! I love Sarah Adams and Mimi Matthews too!
ReplyDeleteYay for Mariana Zapata! I love her books, and I still have so many of her backlist to get through :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found so many great authors!
ReplyDeleteSarah Adams has fast become one of my favorite romance authors! And I can't wait to give Catherine Cowles' books a try. Great list. :D
ReplyDeleteI’ve heard good things about Kulti.
ReplyDeleteHere is our Top Ten Tuesday.

Love Zapata, Singh, Matthews, and Brown! Great list here, Tanya!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these, although I am interested in trying out Sandra Brown. Hopefully, hers wasn't one of the stinkers! Ha ha.
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT!
I've not read books by any of these authors, but glad to see you enjoyed them. I only read 10 new authors last year and I didn't love all of their books, so I just did my five favourites who I think I'll read from again and then added five more new authors I want to read this year.

Wow, you tried a lot of new authors in 2022! I haven't tried any of those ten authors, but looking forward to reading When in Rome.
ReplyDeleteI adore Nalini Singh! Her books are just superb. I also discovered Catherine Cowles and she was so wonderful to read! You definitely discovered some wonderful authors.
ReplyDeleteI've read a few by Singh. I'm barely reading these days so almost any book I pick lately is by a new to me author. Haven't found any new auto buy authors yet though.

Ow yes!! Catherine Cowles is amazing! I love all her books so much! And I have Singh on my TBR. Great list Tanya.
ReplyDeleteYou have several here that I really enjoy plus some books that I really hope to read this year!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I forgot Sarah Adams on my list this week. When in Rome was one of my favorite romance reads last year.
ReplyDeleteI have only read one of these authors, Sandra Brown, but I see several others that I would like to try someday.
ReplyDeleteI read a short story by Mimi Matthews a couple or so years ago and really enjoyed it. I'd like to read more by her. I've been wanting to try Nalini Singh for awhile now. I can't remember if I've tried Sandra Brown. I feel like I might have but it could just be because I've seen her name around for so long. I hope you discover many wonderful new-to-you authors this year!
ReplyDeleteYay for Zapata! Happy we both finally discovered her last year. Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteGuess I got signed out. 😃
DeleteI had no idea you only discovered Mariana's books this year Tanya! I love most of her books!
