The Sunday Post #348 | September 3, 2023

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news: a post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books,
and share what's coming up on your blog in the week ahead.

THE WEEK IN REVIEW

The big news here this week was Hurricane Idalia. Thankfully, we had no damage. We did lose power for a short time but it was a minor inconvenience compared to the damage on the opposite coast.

It was an easy week at the office. I was on PTO Monday so I could go to a medical appointment with The Husband. On Wednesday the office was close due to the hurricane, so I worked from home. And on Friday, two of three Board members were out (I work as the assistant to the CEO, CFO, and COO) so it made for an easy day.

For those that have the day off tomorrow for Labor Day... enjoy! I have plans to meet my sisters and my mom for lunch, something we haven't done in quite a while.

This week's throwback song is Modern Love (1983) - one of my favorite Bowie songs. Enjoy!

  2. Glad to hear you did ok during the hurricane and didn't lose power for too long. Any amount of time is punishing. I love Modern Love. It was my jam back in the day. Did you make anything from the cookbook?

  9. I'm thankful you didn't have a worse time with the hurricane. It seemed to go sharply out into the Atlantic so hear in NC we didn't even get much rain from it. Yay for a lighter week and the holiday weekend. I love that you will have a family get together.

That cookbook is pretty. I'm curious about the recipes.

    1. Karen - It's been a fairly calm hurricane season so far (hoping I didn't just jinx it). I doubt I'll actually make anything from the cookbook but I did enjoy browsing through it. :)
