The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:
Since it's currently Saturday night and I haven't had dinner yet (a late lunch and an afternoon nap has totally thrown me off), I'm now starving and absolutely everything sounds good. It's too late at night to fire up the grill, but I'm now craving these kebabs. Maybe tomorrow night... ?
WHAT I FINISHED IN THE LAST WEEK:
WHAT I'M CURRENTLY READING:
It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time - Kylie Scott
I'm at about the 75% mark and totally enjoying this one. Kylie Scott excels at great dialogue and snappy banter with plenty of humor.
AUDIOBOOKS:
The Summer Wives - Beatriz Williams
So intrigued by this one and the reviews have been amazing.
KINDLE BOOKS:
The Girl & Her Ren - Pepper Winters
I need to finish off this duet.... just as soon as I can handle something dark and angsty.
Wolfsong - T.J. Klune
Not my typical read but I've heard so many raves about this series.
All Your Perfects - Colleen Hoover
The plan was to wait and get my physical copy when I see CoHo next week but yeah... decided I couldn't wait that long to read it.
eARCS FOR REVIEW:
It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time - Kylie Scott
Reading this one now and totally enjoying it.
One Day in December - Josie Silver
This one sounds so custom-made for me.
How was your week? Any new books? Any news to share?
I'd love to hear about it!
Oh my gosh I started watching that video and I think I'm going to be hungry! And I laughed at BYOS- bring your own steak. Watching that when I'm hungry is like going to the store when I'm hungry- not a good idea!
ReplyDeleteWolfsong looks interesting with that cover!
Everyone seemed to drool over the kebabs, so... #sorrynotsorry. LOL
DeleteOh my god! That kebab looks so delicious! I need to make something like that! I just seen the Aquaman trailer and it looks fantastic! Have you seen the Shazam trailer? Hope you have a lovely week!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my Sunday Post!
Ronyell @ Rabbit Ears Book Blog and join in this week’s Book Photo Sundays and Cover Spotlight!
I hadn’t even heard about the Shazam movie. Will definitely have to go check out that trailer!
DeleteThose kebabs look so good!!! Yum!! AYPs was so good right??? CoHo always delivers for me. Interested to see what you think of The Summer Wives. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, I’m still craving those kebabs. :) AYP was so, so good. CoHo just never disappoints!
DeleteIt's so strange seeing everyone haul December review copies in the heat of summer :D
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week!
Even with December in the title I don’t think that one is a winter or holiday themed book. It actually spans about 10 years and follows two characters as they navigate a friendship/relationship. :)
DeleteNow I want kebabs. I saw One Day in December on someone's WOW post, and I couldn't resist requesting. It looks really good.
ReplyDeleteI know right? I’m still craving them.
DeleteThat’s how I learned about One Day in December, too! I think it was Jenea’s WOW post where I saw it.
I hope you enjoy The Summer Wives, it was really good. Enjoy all the new books and have a fantastic week.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jenea. It’s been a while since I’ve read a good historical so I’m looking forward to it. (ACtually is that really considered a historical? Are the 50’s and 60’s historical? OMG that’s depressing. LOL)
DeleteThe Kylie Scott one looks fun!
ReplyDeleteKaren @ For What It's Worth
Just finished the Kylie Scott one this morning and it was so good. I love the humor in her books. :)
DeleteI'm glad you're getting a bit of a break, Tanya!!! And please do share your kebab journey. ;) Also SOO stoked for Aquaman--he, Wonderwoman, and Flash are the only characters I liked in Justice League. xD
ReplyDelete- Aimee @ Aimee, Always
When I get around to making those kebabs I’ll defifinitely share a little review. :)
DeleteIt drives my husband crazy that I don’t know the difference between Justice League and Avengers and can’t tell anyone apart. LOL
Oh my gosh that meme! So funny! And yes, I couldn't care less about aquaman but I do love Jason Momoa!
ReplyDeleteLOL I envision at lot of women flocking to Aquaman with their husbands just to ogle Jason Momoa. :)
DeleteI would love a kabob. I’m on a diet because I need to fit into my nice clothes, and all food looks good right now. Enjoy your new books! Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
I swear, the second I start trying to change my eating habits I start noticing ALL THE FOOD. And it ALL looks good.
DeleteI missed last week, but it is good to see you this week. Now you've made me hungry. lol
ReplyDeletesherry @ fundinmental Sunday Memes
I missed last week, too. Well, actually the last two weeks. :)
DeleteAnd I’m still craving those kebabs!
Oh my gosh, Jason Momoa is SO perfect for that role!!! I cannot wait!
ReplyDeleteBring on the popcorn! :)
DeleteI have All You Perfects on audio. I need to get to The Summer Wives. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI hope the audio version of AYP is a hit for you!
DeleteWait a second! Who says grown women can't have stuffed animals??
ReplyDeleteI’m with you, Erin! :)
DeleteI hope you and your family are well Tanya! I love both throw pillows and stuffed animals so what kind of adult does that make me? 😋
ReplyDeleteThanks Amber! I’m with you... my bed gets throw pillows *and* bears. I refuse to choose. That makes us the best kind of adult. LOL
DeleteI actually really like superhero films, but honestly, I'm not that excited about Aquaman. I mean, I like Jason Moma as Aquaman, but not sure about the rest of it. LOL

I know zilch about Aquaman (or any superhero) but I figure Jason Momoa is enough to get me to the theater. LOL
DeleteI love the kebabs and Aquaman! But I love the picture of the pillows caption!
ReplyDeleteI just loved that quote about the throw pillows! :)
DeleteI have It Seemed Like A Good Idea At The Time to read this week too so I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it! Hopefully, I'll enjoy it too. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't know what to make of Aquaman as a potential movie experience but I have already volunteered as tribute to take the little dude to see it. There are worse fates than appreciating Jason Momoa shirtless for a few hours. ;) (I love him, lol.)
Hopefully there will be enough there to keep you *and* the little one interested. Action scenes for him and a bare chest for you. LOL
DeleteI really hope you'll love Wolfsong!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sophie... I’m excited for that one!
DeleteI can't wait to start All Your Perfects! It is waiting for me at my parents' house and it's yet two weeks before I can go get it, but my mind is already preparing itself for the awesome experience of holding a new CoHo book in my hands.
ReplyDeleteOh how exciting! Just knowing a new CoHo book is ready and waiting for you. I hope you’ll love it!
