The Sunday Post #106

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news - a post to recap the past week on your blog,
showcase books and things we have received, and share news about what is
coming up on your blog in the week ahead. You can find the info here:

  • Hello, hello! I'm back fresh from a week of R&R and all I can is: I could get used to a life of leisure. :) Are there any jobs available that pay well and include laying around a pool, reading and taking many naps? Please let me know where to apply. Thankyouverymuch.

  • In OMGICantBelieveIt news, Colleen Hoover is going on tour for the release of All Your Perfects and yours truly has tickets! I have managed to meet all my favorite authors over the years, with Colleen being the only exception. Granted, I'll be driving about 5 hours for the experience, but it'll just be a good excuse for a weekend getaway. :) Anyone else going to the signing in Decatur, GA?

WHAT I FINISHED IN THE LAST WEEK:

  1. I would like to apply for that job as well!

Did they make a second Traveling Pants movie? I'm kind of wondering how it would work given the amount of time that has passed. (Although I need to go find the second movie and rewatch the first now!)

    1. Yep, there were two Traveling Pants movies. In the second one the girls went to Greece. Rings any bells? :) There was a final book set 10 years or so later so I guess they could make it work. I'd love to see an update!

  5. I'm glad you had a nice vacation. I'm going crazy with bad allergies this weekend, so it's been a lot of wanting to sleep and not being able to. LOL I just hope I feel better soon. I'm missing out on lots of reading because I just can't concentrate. Sigh.

Yay for seeing Colleen Hoover. It's awesome seeing authors you really love!

    1. Ugh, I feel you on the allergies, Lauren! I've taken daily allergy meds for years and it's been ages since I've had a full-on allergy attack. But man did it hit me hard yesterday. So miserable!

I'd also like to toss my hat in the ring for the poolside reading job...
Can't wait to read about your adventures meeting Colleen Hoover! She's one of the few authors I follow on Facebook (even though I haven't read many of her books!) because she seems like an awesome human. :)

    1. Thanks Nicole! There are several authors that I've managed to meet multiple times but with Colleen Hoover it's just never worked out. So this trip is one I'm definitely excited for!

I would totally go on a road trip to see an author. I did that when Lauren Willig came to Dallas. :)

Hope you have a great week!

    1. Most of the book events/author signings I've gone to have been a fairly short drive, but I'm definitely willing to road trip for Colleen Hoover. :)

  15. So...I've never read a Colleen Hoover book until last month. I picked up It Ends With Us because it's been highly praised in my timeline and I fell in love with it. Amazing book! I hope you'll have an amazing road trip :)
