WWW Wednesday #55 | July 17, 2019

WWW Wednesdays is a meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words.
Just answer three questions and share what you're reading.

It's supposed to be 97 today... and with the humidity factored in it will feel like 107.
Someone rescue me from this heat!

WHAT ARE YOU CURRENTLY READING?

Awakening Autumn - Lora Richardson
I've sang Lora Richardson's praises plenty of time here. Her Juniper trilogy is YA contemporary gold and it kills me that the books don't get more attention. Lora started a new companion series earlier this year with Vanishing Summer and her latest release, Awakening Autumn comes out next week. I'm only 20% in and I'm already loving Meredith's story. What girl hasn't had to come to terms with a crush that wasn't ever going to happen? Or realized that your crush wasn't really who you thought he was or wanted him to be? But I have a feeling something someone better is waiting in the wings for this super-relatable girl. :)

WHAT DID YOU RECENTLY FINISH READING?
Say You Still Love Me was such a perfect second-chance romance, which just happens to be one of my favorite tropes. The thought of a teenage summer love that lasts? I was all in for it and Tucker didn't disappoint.

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'LL READ NEXT?

I'm still planning on picking up both Hope and Other Punchlines and The Last Post very soon.

What are you currently reading?
I wanna know! :)

  4. I need to read Richardson soon seeing your praise. I enjoy K.A. Tucker too and I'll probably request a library audio copy. Second chance romances are one of my favorite troupes too! Hope you enjoy Love and Other Punchlines. I listened to the audio and really liked it.

It's 97 degrees here too, but it was 106 on Monday! I don't think we have your humidity though, so there is that. Stay cool, Tanya! :)

106?! Yikes! Even without humidity, that's still plenty hot!

    1. Ugh, 100 there, too? Will someone turn off the heat, please?
I just go from one air conditioned place to another. Outside is to be avoided at all costs.

    1. Seems like the heat is bad all around. Maybe we need to head to the southern hemisphere for some winter weather. LOL

  10. I've never heard of that first series/author so thanks for putting her on my radar. I'll see what my library has.

    1. Lora Richardson writes such wonderful contemporary YA. Small-town based with kids that actually act their age instead of like 30 year olds in high school. LOL

  11. Thank goodness it's winter here, such a reprieve from our summer heat. That's pretty warm especially with a high humidity. The warmest we've had here is 118 and it's like being slowly roasted. I hope you've got air conditioning and can find some relied Tanya. That KA Tucker book looks awesome, I'm a big fan of second chance romances and it sounds absolutely lovely. I haven't read one of her books in a while so looking forward to grabbing a copy and soon!

    1. 118 degrees??!! Oh my goodness, I feel like I should stop complaining. LOL Because as hot as it gets here... it's never been 118. Yikes. Oh, and a big YES to air conditioning. I don't think you can live in FL and not have central AC. Ha! I hope you'll enjoy the K.A. Tucker book if you decide to give it a try. I certainly recommend it!
