Top Ten Tuesday: The Books I Meant To Read in 2020

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

THIS WEEK'S TOPIC:
THE BOOKS I MEANT TO READ THIS YEAR

This week's prompt is actually Books I Hope Santa Brings, but it would basically be a repeat of last week's prompt (books on my winter TBR), so I decided to go rogue. Instead I'm sharing ten of the books I meant to read this year, but... it just never happened. #storyofmylife #bookwormproblems

HAVE YOU READ ANY OF THESE BOOKS?
WHAT BOOK DID YOU NOT GET TO IN 2020?

  5. You Were There Too was a bit of a miss for me, unfortunately, but I enjoyed the surprises in In Five Years!

  6. IN FIVE YEARS is one I TOTALLY meant to get to this year. Didn't happen. Hopefully, we'll both get to it in 2021. THE GREAT ALONE is the only book on your list that I've read. I loved it, although it's super sad.

    Happy TTT!

  7. I could not get into Love Lettering - something about it just did not work for me. Heart Bones and When You Come Back to Me were fantastic though!

  10. Yes there were so many books I wanted to get to, but that just didn't happen. I have heard that Credence is really good. I need to get back to reading Douglas more. Hope you get a hold of these soon and enjoy them.

    1. I've only read one other by Douglas so I don't have a lot to base an opinion on... but I really like the sound of Credence.

  11. Oh gosh, so many books! I always wish I could fit more books in, but hopefully I'll continue to do well by reading the books I own in 2021.

  13. Oh there were too many books I did not get to in 2020 - Addie LaRue, Mexican Gothic - and many that I moved on from half way through too... not ones I DNF'd but that are waiting for me to come back to! This is my post - Merry Christmas!

  14. OMG.. You so have to read From Blood and Ash. It's sooooo good! It's my absolute favorite read of this year, but it's also on my favorite of all times list. I read the second book already too.. and book three is coming next year. I can't wait. I hope you'll get to it soon. ;)

  18. I had planned to read so many books and it just didn't work out this week. Of course, I didn't read much for several months. I haven't read any of these but I hope you get the chance in 2021!

    1. Your summer really got hijacked so I'm sure there was very little reading for several months!

  19. Ooh, I've read a few of these and absolutely LOVED them! I actually just finished That Swoony Feeling this past weekend and it was definitely a great wrap up to the series. I'm sad it's over 😂 I was also meant to read In Five Years this year but ... Hopefully next year? I hope you enjoy all of these whenever you get to them!

  21. The Great Alone is a good one to read this winter if you can fit it in. Very atmospheric with that Alaskan setting. I have so many books I meant to get to this year. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is probably at the top of that list.
