Top Ten Tuesday: Most Recent Reads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

THIS WEEK'S TOPIC:
MY TEN MOST RECENT READS

This week's prompt is super straightforward and simple but I like it.
1) Because it's just so easy to share my last ten reads.
2) I always love to see what others are reading (or have just read).

Starting with the most recent:

Not at all necessary to the series, but interesting to learn more of Cardan's background.

The story went in a direction I didn't expect and that's one of the reasons I love Jennifer Weiner.

Enjoyable enough but not my favorite from Dade.

An emotional, second chance romance - totally enjoyed it.

I loved seeing the male lead come into his own and recognize his worth.

Jax and Tanner were both so lovable.

Sweet, sexy, funny... plus food porn. The total package.

My only complaint is that this novella set during the lockdown was too short. I wanted more.

Keith + Sam's story wasn't my favorite in the Cake series, but it was still a great read.

Nothing memorable, but a solid romance from Keeland.

HAVE YOU READ ANY OF THESE BOOKS?

  6. I agree with you on 40-Love. There was a whole thing that went on too long for me, but I did like the ending a lot.

    1. Tess made such a huge issue over the age difference and made so many assumptions about Lucas that it rubbed me the wrong way. But I still enjoyed it.

  8. I've never read anything by Weiner, but THAT SUMMER sounds like one I would like. And if it goes in an unexpected direction (in a good way)? Yes, please! Glad you enjoyed it and all these others.

    Happy TTT!

  11. I need to try Teach Me after your comments. I loved Spoiler Alert and then tried 40-Love and it was good but not my favorite. I haven't read anything else by her because of that. I guess I need to give her another go.

    1. I think you would enjoy Teach Me. A good story, solid characters, low drama. I definitely liked it better than 40-Love.

  14. I liked this topic! I didn't have to think much lol. That Holly Black series has been on my list for a while, since I keep hearing she's the queen of kick butt fae stories, but I haven't tackled em yet...

    1. If you *love* The Folk of the Air series and are desperate for more Cardan, I'd say pick it up. The artwork really is lovely. But otherwise it didn't add much to the story/series.
