Top Ten Tuesday: New-to-Me Authors I Want to Read in 2019

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This week's Top Ten Tuesday topic:
New-to-Me Authors I Want to Read in 2019

This week's TTT topic is actually new-to-me authors I read in 2018 but since I just covered that three weeks ago courtesy of KimberlyFaye's #Top10of2018 I'm going to switch it up a bit. Instead, I'm going to share the ten authors that I want to read for the first time in 2019.

Tara Sivec
Brittainy C. Cherry
Penelope Douglas
Melanie Harlow
Marissa Meyer
Morgan Rhodes
Ginger Scott
Alessandra Torre
Corinne Michaels
Devney Perry

Have you read any of these authors?
What author do you want to read in 2019?

  1. Great list! I'm so pleased you enjoyed Marissa Meyer - The Lunar Chronicles is still one of my favourite series. I haven't heard of some of the other authors on your list so I'll have to check them out.

    1. I know I’m way late to the game but so many people love the Lunar Chronicles that I still want to give it a try. And I have a feeling I’m going to love Punk 57 and Penelope Douglas. :)

    1. Even though fantasy isn’t typically my thing, I’m still excited to experience the Lunar Chronicles. :)

  5. I've read Cinder but still need to read the last book in that series. There are SO many new to me authors to try. I've spent most of the past 2 years whittling down my TBR pile and not being able to stay up to speed with the new stuff.

    1. I read a lot more from my own shelves last year and plan to keep that up this year, too. New releases are exciting but I miss reading from my own shelves.

  7. I've had Punk 57 on my TBR for a while, I really want to read something from Penelope Douglas so I hope you manage it so I can read your review and see what I think. I strongly recommend The Lunar Chronicles books, I really liked the first three and still haven't gotten around to finishing the series. I also really want to read some Alessandra Torre books.

    1. I actually have several by Penelope Douglas but I think I’m going to start with Punk 57. Hopefully we’ll both end up loving it. :) I’m so glad to hear you loved the Lunar Chronicles! Sci-fi/fantasy isn’t usually my thing, but I’ve seen so many rave reviews for the Lunar Chronicles and I already own the first two books, sooo... it’s time to give it a try.

  8. I've read Corinne Michaels (the one you have pictured, actually) and didn't like that book at all. I DNF'd the only Penelope Douglas book that I tried to read, which is I think Corrupt, it's been a while so I can't remember the exact book but that didn't work for me either because the hero and his friends planned on raping a girl and making her life miserable because they went to jail because she snuck into their party or something and I just...couldn't.

I have plans on reading Moonshot by Alessandra Torre this year though. I can't wait for that read. Baseball and romance? Sign me up!

    1. Oh no, sounds like a couple of these were total misses for you. Hopefully I’ll have a better experience. I have several by Alessandra Torre (and even got one signed when I met her at a signing a few years ago) so I really need to get on those.
