The Sunday Post #268 | November 21, 2021

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Caffeinated Book Reviewer.
It's a chance to share news: a post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books,
and share what's coming up on your blog in the week ahead.

Another whirlwind week at the office. Tired, overworked, overwhelmed. But an end is in sight. Another week or so of this madness and then things will return to normal.

Of course, that means that it was another week of radio silence on the blog. Not a single post. I tried to visit and comment here and there but even that was sporadic. Better days are coming! (Right? Someone please tell me better days are coming...)

My reading has come to a screeching halt in the last week. I'm technically still reading Layla, but after more than a week I haven't progressed past 70-ish pages. Who even am I? I mean, it's Colleen Hoover... I inhale anything by CoHo. But deciding to start anything in November (much less a CoHo book) was probably an exercise in futility.

I felt the need for something a little kick-ass for this week's 80's music fix and who did it better in the 80's than Debbie Harry and Blondie? I think Hanging on the Telephone might actually pre-date the 80's by a year or two but we're going with it anyway. :)

    1. I got six more pages read in the CoHo book. LOL I think I should just accept that reading isn't happening right now and try again in a week or so. :)

    1. Thanks Renee. I wish I had time to post ahead but at this point it's too late for that. LOL I just have to hunker down, get through the busy part, and then I can take a little breather. :)

  7. Hope you get some rest soon, Tanya! It's hard to want to do anything when you get home after a stressful day. Vegging in front of mindless TV while I eat my dinner has been my go-to at times.

    1. Exactly, Rachel. By the time I get home I am mentally drained. I don't have to focus to read and I'm just too tired. But I'm getting ever closer to things returning to normal! :)

  9. Yes!!! Better days are right around the corner!!! I can see them! Do you see them??? You will soon be relaxing and reading and blogging and everything else that you enjoy. Just hang on!

Also, one of the last concerts I went to before I had to move to Arkansas to take care of the 94-yo was Blondie! So amazing. Loved, loved loved that concert. And they did that telephone song.

    1. I think I'll like My Beautiful Neighbor. I read the prequel to the series a few weeks ago (the parents story) and enjoyed it so much.

This week is so much better than a couple weeks ago! Thank goodness. :)
