Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.
This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
April Showers
Who knew this week's prompt would be so tricky? I quickly realized that I would not be
finding ten books that I've read with rain (or storm) in the title. Same for book covers.
I ended up combining books and covers and even then I only managed a total of eight.
I'm interested to see what everyone else came up with. :)
TITLES WITH RAIN (or storm)
Storm and Fury - Jennifer L. Armentrout
The Rainmaker - John Grisham
Nights of Rain and Stars - Maeve Binchy
COVERS WITH RAIN (or storm)
Have you read any of these books?
I’ve heard good things about The Nightingale.
ReplyDeleteHere is my Top Ten Tuesday.
Lydia
Lydia - It was a very moving story.
DeleteI love the Nightingale cover. Happy reading.
ReplyDeletewww.rsrue.blogspot.com
It does have a beautiful cover!
DeleteI was surprised by how much I struggled with this topic too—I defo thought I had more rain covers/titles on my shelves! I had The Nightingale on my list today as well. Love that book :)
ReplyDeleteDini - Once in a while I consider re-reading The Nightingale but I don't think my heart could take it a second time!
DeleteI like how you did a mix of covers and titles. I also had The Rainmaker on my list today.
ReplyDeleteDeanna - I remember absolutely nothing about The Rainmaker but I did read it ages ago and I was desperate for titles that would work. :)
DeleteThat Roni Loren cover is awesome...and so perfect for this week's TTT! :D
ReplyDeleteLark - I love that Roni Loren cover! And the story was so good. I still think about it.
DeleteI did a TTT similar to this one last year. Weather in the title or on the cover and I was surprised how many "rain" books I had! I should've done this one, but I didn't look it up this week. I was in Austin TX over a long weekend watching my grandkids! Little time to do anything with those hooligans (5yrs and 8yrs)! Love 'um, but wow, I'm glad my kids are grown, lol!
ReplyDeleteRachel - Sounds like an exhausting weekend... but a fun one! :)
DeleteI struggled with this topic too, so I switched it up a bit. I haven't read any of these yet, but I am catching up with the Others series. And I love the cover for All the Little Raindrops!
ReplyDeleteLindsey - I recently picked up the new short story collection from Anne Bishop and it had one story included about Simon and Meg and the Lakeside Courtyard. I loved visiting with them again!
DeleteYou were not the only one to struggle with this today, but bonus points to you because you have a few that I haven't seen on anyone else's list.
ReplyDeleteAlison - I guess that comes from digging deep, deep into my Goodreads shelves. lol
DeleteYay for the Maeve Binchy one! I hadn't heard of it until I started googling rain but it sounds really wonderful. This was a touch topic!
ReplyDeleteKatherine - I agree, this prompt ended up being a tough one! It's been a decade or more since I read that Binchy book so I don't even remember much about it. But I always enjoyed her books.
DeleteGood choice mixing covers/titles. This was hard to accomplish using my read-shelf.
ReplyDeleteSam - I always limit my picks to books I have read. Sometimes that makes it tricky!
DeleteOooh! These books look interesting! Great list!
ReplyDeleteHere’s my TTT
Rabbit Ears Book Blog: WORLD’S WEIRDEST BOOK BLOG!
While I've heard of a couple, I haven't read any of these books. But the covers definitely have stormy vibes.

Thanks Pam!
DeleteI think you did a great job! The cover of The Nightingale is so iconic.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Angela!
DeleteIt seems like a lot of people had trouble with this prompt. I skipped it :)
ReplyDeleteHappy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
Susan - I was *this close* to skipping it myself! lol
DeleteI've only read Bishop's series. It's so interesting how many books people come up with when there's a theme. You don't realize they exist untilt he question is asked lol
ReplyDeleteKaren - Right? I love visiting blogs on Top Ten Tuesdays. The variety of books people share is amazing.
