Top Ten Tuesday: Oldies But Goodies | Books I Love That Are Over a Decade Old

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl.

This Week's Top Ten Tuesday Topic:
Oldies But Goodies...
Books I Love That Were Written Over 10 Years Ago

So this was fun! I enjoyed doing a deep dive to find some favorites
that are 10+ years old. Some I only read recently (like Slave to Sensation)
and some I read around the time of release (like On the Island). Either way,
all of these are books I loved (some being all-time favorites) that were
published at least ten years ago.

Have you read any of these books?

    1. I read Slammed in 2015, but even that was a few years after it released. I forget sometimes how long CoHo has been published.

    1. Angela - Do you still read the Outlander series? I have fallen behind. It's hard to maintain interest when there are several years between books.

    2. It took awhile, but I've read all the books except for the most recent one.

  6. I haven't read any of these but wow, I didn't realise Outlander was published so many years ago! On the Island is a book I've been quite curious about since I first heard about it a couple of years back. Great list!

    1. Dini - Crazy, isn't it - that it's over 30 years old? I think I first read Outlander around 1999 or 2000 but even then in was already 8-9 years old.

    1. Lindsey - I won't talk about Obsidian because Once I start I can't stop. LOL The Lux series was very "of its time" but is still one of my favorites series ever.

  12. I actually haven't read any of these, but Outlander has been on my TBR list for a while now. I went with "older than I am" for my list today... which made for some pretty old books!

  13. This was a fun one. :) I've seen a lot of these around but haven't read any. I am a fan of Lisa Jewell though. Isn't it funny how some of the books it's hard to believe are ten plus years old now??

    1. Greg - It's so interesting how Jewell's genres have changed over the years. From chick lit/romance to women's fiction to mystery thrillers. She can do it all!

    2. I never realized how prolific she was initially. I discovered her with The Girls in the Garden and read a few since and wasn't even really aware if her backlist!

  20. I've seen OUTLANDER on a few lists today. I really should re-read the first book and continue on with the series. WINTER GARDEN isn't my favorite Hannah book, but I enjoyed it when I read it.

  21. I enjoy K Hannah but I haven't read this one yet - and I added Bronze Horseman to my TBR; it's quite a tome at 894 pages! I haven't seen any Nelson DeMille on any lists...quite a mix of genres, which I like.

    1. Sara - Thanks! Lisa Jewell is a long time favorite. From 2000 or so when she was writing straight romance, to a few years later when it was more women's fiction, and now with her mystery/thrillers. She can do it all!
